Daniel is a social and digital media trainer, consultant and speaker. He specialises in creating solutions for people and organisations who want to connect with their audience through social media. In 2018 Daniel launched 448 Studio, a company that specialises in bespoke social media training, consultancy and content creation. Up until recently he worked for three years at the University of Glasgow crafting award winning social media content and campaigns. He moonlights as an artist, and if you look on his twitter you're more than likely to see mostly pictures of his black lab Samwise.

Cat is a digital content officer at Lancaster University for the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Cat has a diverse history in the higher education sector working at departmental, central and faculty level in a number of roles. Her experience in recruitment, student facing administration, marketing and content creation at all levels has given her a unique insight into institutional context. Cat loves to talk about photography, memes and tattoos; she has a whale named Blue who lives on her arm.

Carla Banks is the research communications manager at Lancaster University where she works with academic colleagues across all subject areas to enhance their profiles, network and share their research using social media. After completing a PhD in Sociology, Carla went on to work in marketing and communications at Lancaster. Alistair Beech

Digital marketing and communications specialist with over ten years' experience at a corporate level in the public and private sector, with five years in higher education roles. Alistair manages the University's social media strategy, leading a hub of professionals across campus and social communities of over a million users. He is a huge advocate for maintaining positive mental health and wellbeing, and led a roundtable for communications professionals at the CASE Europe Annual Conference in 2017. He has since written about my own experiences for the CASE Current's magazine, and in 2018 appeared on The Native podcast to discuss how digital and social media managers can practice positive wellbeing at work.

Katy Duddell

York St John University

Katy is the Social Media & Conversion Coordinator at York St John University, and manages the University's social media presence, including planning, strategy and content creation. She also works on conversion campaigns, CRM & email marketing, and coordinates a group of student Digital Ambassadors. Since joining York St John in 2016, Katy has developed their social content to a student-centred model and particularly focused on Instagram Stories as a tool for engagement (and fun!)
Prior to her role at York St John, Katy worked in the museum sector for several years, including managing the social media campaign for Flying Scotsman's return to steam at the National Railway Museum. Rebecca is the Marketing and Content Manager at edtech start-up The Access Platform, where she coordinates the content strategy, social media presence and research papers, as well as conferences and events. Rebecca graduated from the University of Sussex with a newfound passion for helping young people make informed decisions about education, after she worked as a ‘Digital Guru', creating content for the university's marketing channels. Hannah Morrish heads up the educational pathways arm of The Student Room - the world's largest online student community. Hannah and her team advise millions of students on important educational and career decisions. Hannah works closely with universities, apprenticeship providers, government bodies and employers to ensure students are aware of all their options, helping them make informed choices that support their career and lifestyle aspirations. Hannah works with the Department for Education and Office for Students to connect young audiences with education policy development whilst also being a member on the student voice reference panel for the Augar Review into Post-18 Education and Funding. Hannah writes regularly for publications including the Guardian, Telegraph, Huffington Post and Times Higher Education, and is an experienced psychotherapist.

Tony Sheridan is the social media and digital content officer for the University of Limerick Marketing and Communications Division. Coming from a background in managing multiple student support initiatives across the Higher Ed sector and using social media and digital content to engage, resource and support students he took over his current role in the UL Marketing and Comms Division in UL in 2016. Revolutionising the university's social and digital strategy and going on to be shortlisted and winning multiple national awards. Most notably taking home the ‘Best Use of Snapchat' at the Irish Social Media Awards 2018 against some of the nation's largest brands.

In addition to his work in Higher Education, Tony has over a decade of experience in the charity sector managing digital first marketing, information and awareness campaigns for local, national and international charity organisations. Most recent working with Amnesty International Ireland to develop their youth activism engagement strategy and provide training and support to their staff.
