Athletics Fundraising 101

Speakers share trends in athletics fundraising from the perspective of those working directly with athletics development. The focus will be on how best to identify donor motivations and developing long-term relationships. Look at the trends in athletics fundraising, focus on transactional versus philanthropic giving, learn how to provide experiences for your donor base and find out why providing information is key to success.

9:45-10:30
How to Leverage Athletics and Academics to Cultivate a Gift
Four major gift officers provide their experience and insight on how to work with donors who would not necessarily be labeled as athletic, but their passions are leveraged to help athletics and other major institution initiatives within a single gif. Studies have found that donors engaged in multiple areas of campus gave more over time. Speakers share ways in which donor stewardship has cultivated giving on their campuses.
