This optional preconference workshop is for seasoned donor relations professionals and is held in conjunction with the Annual Conference for Donor Relations Professionals

Part 1: Keys to Long-term Success in Donor Relations
Donor Relations is, by its nature, a long term effort. Our work is more like planting seeds than harvesting crops. How does this affect what we do on a day-to-day, month-to-month, and year-to-year basis? How do we stay on course organizationally and as individual leaders? Is it realistic to think we can have a long term - even life-long - career in Donor Relations? In this conversation we'll explore these questions and work together to identify what can be done to ensure we deliver on the promise of Donor Relations. We'll also consider what it takes to enjoy a fruitful career in the profession in which we are deeply invested.

Part 2: Open Topics for Senior Leaders
What are the most pressing issues and challenges facing donor relations professionals, and how are the senior leaders expected to solve them? This session looks at common issues facing senior leaders in donor relations. Content will be drawn directly from participants' experiences and questions with an eye toward identifying pathways that can lead to solutions. Bring questions and challenges relevant to other senior leaders that are drawn from your own experience.
