Barbro Kolbjornsrud

Barbro Kolbjørnsrud joined BI Norwegian Business School in 2001 and has extensive experience within higher education in the area of executive education. BI appointed Barbro as head of alumni relations in 2006.
The BI Alumni network have successfully grown into a national and global network of sustainable communities with strong volunteer support. Barbros professional interests is long term strategic planning, establishing sustainable national and international communities, enhancing alumni engagement and cultivating external relations. Barbro holds a Bachelor's degree in marketing, strategy and internationalization and an Executive Master's degree in Management, both from BI.

Line Axelsen
Alumni Development Manager
Aarhus University, School of Business and Social Sciences (BSS), Denmark

Line Axelsen has experience within alumni relations, communications and fundraising from Aarhus, Denmark and Brisbane, Australia. Line has project managed numerous professional and successful events and emerging programmes to cultivate relationships between alumni, faculty and external relations. Her experience with fundraising in Australia and alumni relations in Denmark combined with a Master's degree in Culture, Communication and Globalization solidifies her as a strong advocate for developing the philanthropic field within Denmark's higher education


Teppo Heiskanen
Director, Advancement and Corporate Engagement
Aalto University

Teppo is the Director of Advancement and Corporate Engagement at Aalto University in Finland. Like all Finnish universities, Aalto is in the middle of an intensive governmental matching funds campaign up to June 2017. At the same time, they are developing ther long-term fundraising procedures and structures. Teppo leads a team of top-class professionals at a university which is fully committed to development. Prior to this, Teppo managed the European Humanities University Trust Fund in 2008 - 2011, and offered fundraising services to higher education institutions as a consultant from 2011 to 2016.

In addition to fundraising, Teppo's expertise include strategic and financial planning, communication skills, project implementation, negotiation strategies, processes of change and restructuring, and personnel development. He has experience in private-public partnerships, and the EU (EEAS, DEVCO, the European Parliament), the Nordic Council of Ministers, European governments and agencies (e.g. Sida), the United States government (Department of State and USAID), and private foundations (e.g. the MacArthur Foundation and Eurasia Foundation). Teppo has advised at a high political level, workable goal-oriented solutions to various problematic projects and programmes, especially in Eastern Europe.


Jessica O'Mary
Head of Alumni and Foundation Relations
Stockholm School of Economics, Sweden

Jessica O'Mary is the Head of Alumni and Foundation Relations at the Stockholm School of Economics. She works closely with alumni and foundations. Jessica has her Master's degree in Public Affairs, with a specialization in Philanthropic Affairs from the University of Texas at Austin. From 2007-2014, she worked as a fundraiser at various non-profits and universities in the US.
