Are you ready for the CASE Asia-Pacific Institute in Educational Fundraising?

Some things to know before you go...

This guide will help you prepare for your participation at the Institute. You will find information about your registration (and what's included), accommodation, what to bring, travelling to Melbourne, arrival and on-site information and more.

Getting There
Please be advised that the Australian government requires ALL overseas visitors to hold a valid visa to enter the country. Failure to produce a valid visa will result in your access to Australia being denied. Please visit to determine which visa you will be eligible for and check with your travel agent to confirm if you are applying for the correct visa.

A bus service has been arranged for pick-ups. Please note the following bus timings:

Monday 17 September - Pick-up time is 9am from Southern Cross Coach Terminal (Bus Bay number: 56).
The coach terminal is located next to the Southern Cross Station:

Thursday 20 September - Departs 2.45pm from Waurn Ponds Estate. Delegates who are heading to the Southern Cross Coach Terminal will alight first, followed by those going to the Melbourne Tullamarine Airport.

** Note (Transport on 20 September):
Depending on traffic, It takes about 1hr - 1hr 30 mins to travel from Waurn Ponds Estate to Southern Cross Coach Terminal, then another 25 mins - 45 mins to the airport.

Registration and What's Included:
Your registration fee includes:
• Institute program and binder for all materials
• Accommodation at Waurn Ponds Estate (arrival Monday - departure Thursday)
• Breakfast (Tuesday - Thursday)
• Lunch (Monday - Thursday)
• Dinner (Monday - Wednesday)
• Internet access

As part of your registration fee, you will receive a three-night stay (Monday - Wednesday) at Waurn Ponds Estate. Each attendee will stay in a single private room with an ensuite bathroom. Towels and linens are provided and the following will be available in each bedroom:
• Hair dryer
• Iron and ironing board
• Air conditioning
• Individual heating
• Television
• Internet access (SSID: "Waurn Ponds Estate" / Password: "guest")

Shower cap is not provided. Please bring your own if needed.

Your registration fee is fully inclusive of the following:

A) Buffet Breakfast:
A full hot and cold breakfast, fresh fruit juices, Nespresso coffee and sereniTEA.

B) Buffet Lunch:
A variety of hot dishes (including vegetarian), selection of fresh salads, breads, dessert, fresh fruit juices, Nespresso coffee and sereniTEA.

C) Dinner:
Monday: After an intensive first day, enjoy a barbeque dinner on the deck. This is a chance for you to get to know your fellow delegates in a more relaxed setting.

Tuesday: Dinner at Waurn Ponds Estate. No further activities are being planned for this evening to allow you to have time to work on your presentation.

Wednesday: This evening has been reserved for the Institute Dinner, where you can sit back and reflect on the Institute with your tutorial groups.

All meals at Waurn Ponds Estate are included in your registration fee and there are limited food and beverage facilities nearby so please do join us for each meal. Please note that a limited amount of drinks will be provided by CASE Asia-Pacific and you are advised to bring cash if you require more drinks.

Dress Code
Business casual attire. The weather in Melbourne can be quite variable in September so please bring layers. Please bring appropriate attire if you wish to use the sports and recreational facilities.

Recreation and Outdoor Activities
Sporting facilities include two tennis courts, gym, walking track and an outdoor solar heated pool and spa. Two bicycles are also available for riding within the campus grounds. There is a lounge area with table tennis and pool table. Please bring appropriate clothing and footwear for sports/recreation activities. Racquets, tennis balls and bicycle helmets are available at reception.

Internet Acces
Wi-Fi access is available in all buildings, delegates will need to search for SSID "Waurn Ponds Estate" and password is "guest".

Although internet access is available throughout the venue, please advise your office that you will not be available for contact or work. The Institute is designed to be an intensive week of learning and training so your personal time will be limited.

As there is project work involved, you are required to bring along your tablet/laptop.

There is a bar available onsite where you can order drinks but the bill should then be settled by you.

Check-out Procedure
Delegates must vacate their rooms by 9am on Thursday morning and return the key to the reception desk. Your bags can be stored in the baggage room until you leave. For delegates who have booked Thursday's transport, please inform the reception if you will be heading for Southern Cross Coach Terminal or the airport as the luggage will be tagged accordingly.

Going Home
The Institute will adjourn on Thursday 20 September at 2.30pm. A bus service has been organized to leave Waurn Ponds Estate at approximately 2.45pm to take delegates back to Southern Cross Station first, then to the Melbourne Tullamarine Airport.
