This workshop is designed for professionals looking to deliver distinct value to your alumni. The program will demonstrate a framework for understanding the needs of a community. Learn how to foster those needs to create alumni (and student) networks that can be instrumental in connecting with institutional outcomes. 

This preconference is designed for newcomers in alumni engagement and  held  in conjunction with Alumni Engagement Strategies.

The relationship between Alumni Relations and Career Services can be an engagement opportunity with new graduates. New or soon to be graduates of your institution are about to start their careers but are also your newest alumni class. How do you build this relationship when many who are just graduating are focused on starting their careers? Create programs that will connect new or soon to be graduates with alumni to foster mentorships, networking, connections, career panels, etc. We will discuss how to balance the many expectations of new graduates.

Suggested career resources provided to new or soon to be graduates such as career coaching, networking programs and events, job fairs and Career Center offerings will be discussed.
