Conference Chair

Bill Campbell

Bill Campbell
Vice President, Marketing and Communications
Chatham University

Bill Campbell is the vice president of marketing and communications at Chatham University. He provides strategic leadership over the university's branding, marketing and communications activities in support of enrollment, fundraising, alumni engagement and more. Joining Chatham in 2012, he has helped lead the successful coed transition of Chatham's 145-year-old undergraduate women's college, and also served as the vice president of enrollment management until 2013.

Campbell's efforts at Chatham were recognized in 2015 with his selection as the American Marketing Association's Higher Education Marketer of the Year (Innovator Award). He has also earned a Top 40 Under 40 Leadership Award and presented at a number of conferences around the country.

Prior to Chatham, he worked for more than a decade at Clean, a brand agency located in North Carolina, in a variety of positions, culminating in his role as the vice president of brand strategy. In this role, he led the development of branding and marketing engagements for clients across a variety of sectors, including higher education, technology, nonprofit, travel and tourism, and consumer goods. He began his career in the nonprofit sector as the director of annual giving and operations for the V Foundation for Cancer Research.

Natasha DiPrima
Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Alumni Relations and Development
Northwestern University

Natasha DiPrima is assistant vice president of marketing and communications for alumni relations and development at Northwestern University. She oversees marketing and communications strategies that inspire lifelong alumni engagement and consistent, meaningful philanthropic support of the university by the global Northwestern community. Her team is helping to realize the goals of "We Will. The Campaign for Northwestern," a $5 billion, university-wide fundraising campaign.

Prior to joining Northwestern in 2011, DiPrima was director of alumni communications at the University of Notre Dame. Previously, she spent 15 years as a marketing executive at leading financial services companies.


Tony Dobies

Tony Dobies
Social Media Director
West Virginia University

As the social media director at West Virginia University, Tony Dobies has positioned the university as a leader in higher education when it comes to new and social media platforms. He is a vocal advocate across the higher education community and has spoken at numerous national conferences on the importance of social and digital media in marketing and communications.

At WVU, he leads the social media conversation on campus. He leads a team that sets the university's social media-specific goals and strategies and helps to use social media effectively through various campus-wide campaigns and initiatives. In 2015, he was named a "30 under 30 Rising PR Star" by PR News. In 2016, he was part of a team that won PRSA's "Best in West Virginia" award for the best overall PR campaign in the state in addition to significant recognition for WVU's innovative use of Snapchat and short, social video campaigns.

Dobies is an adjunct professor at the Reed College of Media at WVU. Prior to his social media work at WVU, he spent time as a senior writer and social media strategist at WVU and was an award-winning sports writer for newspapers including The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review and The Daily Athenaeum. He graduated from WVU in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in journalism.


Alex Parraga

Alex Parraga is the chief digital officer at UC Santa Barbara, a position he's held since 2014 when he first joined the university. He oversees university branding and digital strategy and is leading the charge to build marketing capabilities across campus.

Prior to joining UC Santa Barbara, Parraga spent the majority of his professional career in the advertising industry. That's where he originally found his passion for brand building and integrated marketing communications at agencies including Ogilvy and BBDO and with client partners such as Mars Chocolate, General Electric and American Express.

He a graduate of NYU's Stern School of Business where he earned a bachelor's degree in marketing and management.

Shaun Baer

Shaun Baer is a developer at Bluecadet. whose websites and online projects benefit from his commitment of craftsmanship and artistic innovation. He champions inclusive design practices and spearheads accessible web standards at Bluecadet.

As a hobbyist woodworker, Baer has a dedication to craft and a material sensibility that carries through from his physical creations to his digital work. He has experience creating websites for Philadelphia institutions including the University of Pennsylvania, Fairmount Park Conservancy, Fleisher Art Memorial, and Bartram's Garden.

He holds a bachelor's degree in sculpture from the Tyler School of Art at Temple University.


Sina Bahram

Sina Bahram is an inclusive design consultant, researcher, speaker and entrepreneur. He is the founder of Prime Access Consulting (PAC), a technology firm whose clients include startups, research labs, Fortune-500 companies, and both private and nationally-funded museums.

He has a strong background in computer science, holding undergraduate and graduate degrees in the field. As a recognized expert in accessibility, he enjoys collaborating with both colleagues in the field and individuals of diverse professions to devise innovative and user-centered solutions to difficult real-world problems.

In 2012, Bahram was recognized as a White House Champion of Change by President Barack Obama for his work enabling users with disabilities to succeed in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields. In 2015, the international accessibility community recognized him as an Emerging Leader in Digital Accessibility at the annual Knowbility Community Heroes of Accessibility Awards. In 2017, he served as the invited co-chair of the 2017 Museums and the Web conference.


Rachel Biundo

Rachel Biundo is the vice president for institutional advancement at John Tyler Community College (JTCC) and the executive director of the JTCC Foundation. She has worked in the fields of marketing, communications and fundraising for 30 years, 16 of which have been in the nonprofit sector. She has led branding projects that have been recognized with awards by PRSA and ASAE.


Heather Busch

Heather Busch is the creative services manager at John Tyler Community College. She has focused her marketing and communications career on finding creative solutions to business challenges and opportunities. Over her 13-year tenure at Tyler, she has established a proven track record of planning and executing campaigns and projects to promote and protect the college's brand.

Busch holds a bachelor's degree in English language and literature, with a minor in art history, from the University of Virginia and a master's degree in English, with a specialty in writing and rhetoric, from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Driven by a desire to eliminate the phrase "best-kept secret" from the higher-education marketing lexicon, she digs deep to find the consistent language, values and stories that make up each institution's distinctive personality.

She began her career in higher education as executive editor of Currents magazine at the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, where she initiated the magazine's coverage of integrated marketing and led its first-ever online reader survey. She went on to become the creative director at Carnegie Communications and then vice president for research and brand strategy at Mind Over Media before joining SimpsonScarborough. Her work for colleges and universities has won multiple awards from CASE and Higher Education Marketing Report.


Brett Eaton

As the senior associate vice president for communications and external relations at Wake Forest University, Brett Eaton leads a multi-disciplined team of marketing and public relations professionals. He also serves as the executive director of the "Wake Will Lead" campaign, an effort to raise $1 billion in support of the university's mission.

Before transitioning to a career in higher education, Eaton held a variety of leadership positions within the Office of the Secretary of Defense. For helping the Pentagon recover from the 9/11 terrorist attack, the Secretary of Defense awarded him the Medal for Exceptional Civilian Service.

He has worked with a wide range of institutions, including Elon University, Virginia Tech, Purdue University, Kenyon College, College of William and Mary, Grinnell College, and Northwestern University.

Prior to Ologie, Faust spent 12 years at branding agency Fitch Worldwide, ultimately as North American CEO.


Amanda Holdsworth

Amanda Holdsworth is passionate about helping driven and ambitious PR and marketing professionals level-up in their current roles through her company, Courses for Communicators. She also serves as a consultant to K-12 and higher ed institutions with CommunicatED, and teaches the next generation of leaders at Cleary University, where she is an assistant professor.

She has landed coverage in major print and broadcast outlets such as "Good Morning America," Forbes, USA Today, Parents Magazine, U.S. News & World Report and Today.com, and after 25 years in the field, she still gets an adrenaline rush every time her pitch gets picked up!

The proud recipient of 23 creative awards, Holdsworth is obsessed with research, processes, marketing audits, budget analyses and employee engagement, and has guided numerous schools, colleges, universities and start-ups in these areas.

She holds a bachelor's degree in communications management and honors international studies from Robert Morris University and both a master's degree in strategic public relations and a doctorate in education from the University of Southern California.


Tina Imig

Tina Imig is head of brand strategy at the University of Newcastle, Australia. She led the development of the university's award-winning brand campaign, "The World Needs NEW."

Before moving to Australia, Imig was a consultant/brand strategist working for clients including: Gap Inc., Kraft Foods, Nordstrom and Warner Bros.

A graduate of Northwestern University's master's program, she worked for Leo Burnett (Chicago) for 11 years where she served as vice president and senior strategist. Her clients included: Disney, Hallmark, Kellogg's and McDonald's. An expert in consumer behavior, brand strategy and market research, Imig has presented at multiple national and international marketing conferences.


Victoria Marzilli

Victoria Marzilli is the director of communications and outreach at the Harvard College Admissions and Financial Aid Office, where she's worked for more than five years in various roles. She oversees all digital communications and recruitment efforts for the office, including website strategy, email campaigns, video and multimedia production, social media, and digital content development.

She began her career at a digital marketing agency and later moved in-house, running social media for an international development and relief organization. She's built her career on developing strategic and creative digital communications to further the missions of institutions, organizations and other mission-driven businesses.


Melody Miller

Melody Miller is the director of the Call to Conversation Program, a signature event initiative at Wake Forest University. She leads a team of project and data management professionals by providing vision, strategy and event expertise in order to reach quantitative and qualitative goals.

Prior to directing the Call to Conversation Program, Miller spent five years working on university/campaign events, in renowned venues such as the Washington National Cathedral, the Rainbow Room and the New York Public Library. She knows that event management at any level requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to motivate others and an excellent customer experience-three philosophies she puts to use daily. Miller is a Certified Meeting Professional and holds a bachelor's degree in communication and an master's degree in higher education from Appalachian State University.


Shannon Seyler

Shannon Seyler, strategy director at Zehno, provides the unshakeable foundation that launches the bold creative concepts our clients love. She works to uncover clients' often hidden assets—existing markers for greatness that need to be brought out in new ways to resonate better with audiences. She also spearheads our work translating brand strategy into the message platforms that help institutions reposition themselves in the marketplace with authenticity, relevance, aspiration and differentiation.

Seyler joined Zehno in 2011 with more than a decade of experience in marketing innovation and creative management success. She earned her bachelor's degree from Cornell University.


Jason Shough

From news reporting to speech writing to brand building, Jason Shough has been shaping big ideas for nearly a decade. A graduate of the Medill School at Northwestern, he began his career in the Columbus Dispatch newsroom before joining Ohio State as a presidential speechwriter for Gordon Gee.

Following his time as a Big Ten storyteller, Shough moved to the agency side. He's written and developed campaigns for schools of all types and sizes—University of California, Northwestern University, Virginia Military Institute, Indiana Tech, Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, Antioch College, Monmouth College, Western State Colorado University, and Berkeley—Haas School of Business—and served as the lead copywriter for several global pharmaceutical brands.


Angela Wegrecki

Although she began her career as a journalist, Angela Wegrecki has spent the better part of the last 13 years in private K-12 and higher education communications. She has won numerous national awards for alumni and development publication writing, admissions marketing collateral and website writing and design, and currently oversees communications, marketing, social media, internal engagement and special events for the University of Michigan's Department of Mechanical Engineering.

Wegrecki graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in journalism and earned a master's degree in organizational leadership from Cleary University. She is currently working on her APR.
