Campaigning for student recruitment in lower HE-participation areas. I was a Back to School Ambassador and gave talks to local Welsh schools about the benefits of university, what my experience was like and why to study at Cardiff.

Why did you apply to the graduate trainee scheme?
I always thought fundraising was an interesting, engaging career and fundraising for higher education specifically was something I could be passionate about after being a student for three years.

What are you hoping to achieve from your year on the scheme?
A wider understanding of the sector and a lot more experience in face to face fundraising.

What are you career ambitions?
I have work experience as a digital content editor and I would like to be more engaged with the communications aspect of fundraising.

What are you hobbies/activities outside of study/work?
Running, hiking and reading.

Proudest moment?
Working as a support worker in third year. I was able to develop strong working relationships with the students I supported and saw the positive impact of my work in their achievements.
