Ken Budd is the author of the award-winning memoir The Voluntourist, which tells the tale of his journey as a global volunteer in six countries, including China, Kenya, and Costa Rica. He is the host of 650,000 Hours, a web series on travel and giving back that will launch in 2016, and he has appeared on such programs as NBC's "Today," "CBS This Morning," and CBS's "The Early Show."

Budd's writing credits include The New York Times, National Geographic, Smithsonian, The Washington Post, and The Chicago Tribune. He is the editor-in-chief of CASE's CURRENTS magazine and the former executive editor of AARP The Magazine, the world's largest circulation magazine with 30 million readers.
