John Grenzebach Research Awards

Grenzebach Glier & Associates

For 30 years, the John Grenzebach Research Awards, made possible by the generous support of Grenzebach Glier & Associates, have recognized outstanding research in philanthropy for educational advancement.

Institutional advancement has grown in sophistication and impact, transforming institutions, lives and society. The Grenzebach Awards program recognizes rigorous, scholarly research with the potential to inform and improve the strategy and practice of educational fundraising, alumni relations, communications and marketing. The Grenzebach Awards were established in 1988 to honor the late John Grenzebach, founding chair of Grenzebach Glier & Associates Inc., consultants in philanthropic management. He was a leader in educational philanthropy with a strong interest in promoting scholarship in the field of advancement. Thirty years later, GG&A sustains that legacy through their generous support of the awards and their professional commitment to advancing the missions of charitable organizations with an evidence based perspective, grounded in data and industry-leading best practices.

Each year the Grezebach Award recognizes a scholar or scholars for research conducted with academic rigor and yielding evidence based insights with the potential to advance the work of CASE member professionals. Award recipients are selected by a committee of academic researchers and advancement professionals. Winning research will be featured in CASE publications and conferences. CASE members are invited to nominate individuals (or teams) for consideration.
