Franklin & Marshall College (Pennsylvania) - Volunteers Meet the Your Home!

  • In the second year of this initiative, F&M have provided a unique and intimate opportunity for small, targeted groups of volunteers to hear directly from the President of the College, in a comfortable setting - their home or wherever they may be. The President speaks, unscripted, on his favorite topics for 40 - 45 minutes followed by Q&A - total time invested is 1 hours.

University of Tennessee - Around the Career Ladder - Networking with Pride Alumni

  • The "Around the Career Ladder - Networking with Pride Alumni" event was jointly sponsored by the University of Tennessee Knoxville Office of Alumni Affairs, Band Alumni Council, and the UT Center for Career Development. The event was designed to connect current and former members of the UT Pride of the Southland Marching Band and provide the opportunity for current students to network with alumni who have careers in their field of study or area of interest

National University of Singapore - NUS Day of Service

NUS Day of Service

  • On Saturday, 3 September 2016, NUS Office of Alumni Relations organised an inaugural community event named NUS Day of Service which comprised 21 Community Service Projects that involved 1400 participants and reached out to 4,500 beneficiaries from various charities.
  • An initiative of the NUS Alumni Advisory Board, NUS Day of Service was earmarked as an annual event when the entire NUS community, comprising alumni, students, faculty, staff and their families come together to give back to the community through action and service. Alumni, students and staff will organise activities that serve the community and make a difference to the lives of the less privileged and the community-at-large both in Singapore and overseas.

Holyoke Pop Up Booth

  • The "pop-up" photo booth was not a vending machine or a modern kiosk. It was a low-cost, creative way for members of the Alumni Council to interact with members of the graduating Class of 2016 and create a meaningful, personal experience on the day of graduation.

  • The Alumni Engagement Index is a university wide metric that measures alumni giving, experience and volunteerism. Each quarter a report is produced to the Deans of each college and University Administration reflecting the year to date participation of alumni from their college.

Boston Buttons

  • The Boston University Alumni Association wanted to recognize alumni from each school and college returning to campus for Alumni Weekend. They created pin on buttons that had school mascots, particular characteristics from each school and college, and the school/college abbreviations.

Texas A&M University - Around The Association Video Series

  • One of the challenges that The Association of Former Students faces from a marketing standpoint is trying to succinctly describe (i.e., create an awareness of) the depth of the available programs and services that are available to the Aggie Network (i.e., current, former students (alumni) and friends of Texas A&M). To overcome that challenge, they developed a video series titled Around The Association that supplemented traditional ways of communicating (i.e., magazine, website, email, social media, etc.).

Rice University (Texas) - Celebrating 50 Years of Black Undergraduate Life at Rice

  • During 1965 and 1966, the first black undergraduate students were admitted to Rice University, marking one of the most significant milestones in the school's history. In celebration of 50 years of black undergraduate life, Rice University featured a yearlong series of events designed to reflect upon Rice's history, to celebrate culture and inclusiveness, and to foster the exchange of ideas across generations.

  • Building on UCL's successful participation in CASE Student Engagement & Philanthropy Days since 2013, it was decided to organise a month long period of activity in February 2016 called ‘Philanthropy Month' to raise awareness of Philanthropy at UCL. The month incorporated a global programme of communications, fundraising, volunteering and events activity and culminated in ‘Philanthropy Day' held on 29 February.

Rice University (Texas) - Sallyportal: New and Improved Networking for Rice Owls

  • is Rice's new professional development platform dedicated exclusively to the Rice community. The site allows Rice students and alumni who are looking for professional development opportunities to connect with passionate alumni and parent volunteers who can assist them. It also serves as a "hub," directing learners to a plethora of resources offered through Rice's academic departments and programs, including the Center for Career Development.
