Ohio University (OH) - #OHIO6words


  • Ohio University asked alumni to reconnect using the 2016 Homecoming theme Same Bricks, Different Stories, accompanied by a photo reflecting one aspect of their Ohio University experience. Photos and accompanying stories were submitted through Instagram, and displayed on Instagram as well as on campus during Homecoming weekend. One winner was chosen each day for the two weeks before OHIO Homecoming, and each won a prize from the OUAA online store.

  • The Alumni Weekend 2015 social media plan was created to generate interest for individual events. Social media  followers were given exclusive promos including "You must remember this" posts that showcased something significant for each grad decade and university-themed "Throwback Thursdays."

  • Georgetown Stories is a multi-media, first-person, video documentary series (video blog) that follows 12 undergraduate students throughout the academic year as they attend Georgetown University.

  • The UGA Spring 2015 Commencement social media campaign was a multifaceted approach that focused on informational posts, telling the stories of graduating students and sharing alumni advice with the graduating class. Additionally, a social media campaign partnership with the Division of Development and Alumni Relations shared memorable "Words of Wisdom" from UGA alumni.

Miami University (OH) - "Oh Snap! All you Need to Know for the Week"


  • Each Monday morning at 10am a Snapchat story comprised of campus fliers is uploaded to the university account. These images include everything from the homecoming schedule, to speakers on campus, to important deadlines. Students can screenshot the information that interests them, save it to their phone and share at will. 

Imperial College London (United Kingdom) - Imperial Apocalypse Campaign


  • Students were invited to submit how they would survive a zombie attack using skills they had learned, as a student at the College. In exchange for submitting advice via social media, they were sent a Tshirt.
