Exceed your expectations in December
Expect another top-notch district conference in 2006. This year’s charge is “Exceeding Expectations.” Mark your planner for CASE V’s 32nd Annual Conference, “Exceeding Expectations” Dec. 10-12, 2006. Full details will be posted in September.

Deadlines for individual recognition at conference set
It’s not too early to begin thinking about submitting nominations for a variety of awards for the 2006 conference in December. All have Sept. 15 deadlines. The awards include:

• Committee on Opportunity and Equity (COE) Outstanding Commitment to Professional Development Award… recognizes a district member who has enhanced professional development and career opportunities for multicultural professionals in the field.
• Distinguished Service Award… recognizes an advancement professional who has given outstanding service to the district.
• Retiree’s Recognition … recognizes and honors colleagues who have recently retired or are planning to retire during the current academic year.
• Student Scholarship … helps prepare undergraduate and graduate students for careers in institutional advancement. 
• Newcomer’s Fellowship … offers those individuals with two years or less experience in advancement a unique opportunity to receive financial assistance to attend the December CASE V District Conference and the Newcomers' Pre-Conference Workshop.

Want to hook into a larger agenda when you make your case for higher education? “Solutions for Our Future” is a national campaign for higher education managed by the American Council on Education. CASE executive staff and volunteers helped with the planning. See the Web site to learn about this on-going program and for well-researched information to use.
