District one-day sessions planned: What would you like to know?
A series of three one-day, highly focused seminars on campuses around the district are being planned for 2006-07 — and you can help determine the topics. The sessions will build on the strong foundations set at the annual CASE V District Conference and CASE workshops. Topics will be based on suggestions from district members. What are the types of topics you would like to see addressed? What are your biggest challenges? What do you think you should know about the changing landscape of educational advancement? Send suggestions to jeff-liebermann@uiowa.edu by June 12, 2006.
Become part of the ‘Pride of CASE V’
Your work is great —it’s time to show and tell others. Take part in the “Pride of CASE V.” This annual awards competition allows others to see how your best work compares to other schools. And, a little “hardware” on the wall doesn’t hurt with your constituents, either! Deadline to submit is July 15, 2006.
Know an outstanding leader?
Is your institution’s chief executive officer successful? Then nominate your leader for the 2006 Chief Executive Leadership Award. Winners will be recognized at the December conference. The deadline for nominations is July 15, 2006.

Interested in what’s going on in the district? There’s still time to blog in on these timely topics —
Alumni — Do you have a successful travel program? How did you start it? Make it grow? Share your success, or question others about their success.
Communications — Have a faculty member who would turn the Golden Arches upside down and paint them pink if they worked for McDonald’s? Institutional branding challenges seldom go away. Share your success branding your school, or post your questions about answers for what you’re doing wrong.
Development — How many gift annuities has your campus received from one individual? Is there any listing — online or other — that has this information? Nelson Rediger, William Taylor Foundation at Taylor University (Upland, Ind.), has one friend of the university who has taken out 39 gift annuities, all with one staff person. Share your thoughts and ideas on this accomplishment.
Web — Has your school developed an efficient online alumni directory? What about an online store for alumni clothing? Share your work on these projects — or post your questions on how to get them going, or improve them.
Don’t forget: December conference
Mark your planner for CASE V’s 32nd Annual Conference “Exceeding Expectations” Dec. 10-12, 2006. Conference updates will be posted as plans are finalized.
