Welcome

There has never been a more exciting time to be a fundraiser. Our profession is experiencing a remarkable period of growth in Europe.

The work of fundraisers makes a profound contribution to education, culture and the arts. Through our engagement with academics, artists and administrators to develop new opportunities for philanthropic support; and through our knowledge of fundraising, we are at the heart of transforming our world for the better. We play a crucial role in fostering a strong culture of giving which in turn provides our supporters with a marvellous feeling of making a difference and of being involved in something that matters.

It is important to have the opportunity to step back and review why we do what we do, and what tools we need to do it.

The CASE Spring Institute in Educational Fundraising offers a unique learning opportunity and an excellent investment in the first few years of a development professional's career.

During the course you will learn from tutorials, seminars and from each other to develop your fundraising skills and increase your confidence; and the Faculty provide an impressive depth of knowledge in educational and cultural fundraising from around the world. I cannot recommend it too highly.

I look forward to seeing you in Durham.
