Two of the 12 newly elected members of the CASE Board of Trustees work for community colleges. The 30-member board sets CASE policies, approves the annual budget and ensures sound management of the organization.
The new board members from community colleges are:
Catherine Brod, trustee-at-large. Brod currently serves as vice president for community relations, and executive director, educational foundation at Harper College in Palatine, Ill. She previously served as vice president for community and alumni relations at Harper and was director of development and marketing for a national cancer research organization.
Kelly J. Zúñiga, trustee-at-large. Zúñiga is executive director of the Houston Community College Foundation. Previously, she served as director of development and external relations at the Houston Zoo. Zúñiga has held advancement positions at the University of Houston, Sacred Heart University and Claremont Graduate University.
Each year, nearly 325 volunteer leaders serve on CASE boards, commissions and advisory groups. Another 3,200 advancement professionals volunteer their time as speakers, authors, conference planners, judges and more. You can volunteer-or nominate a colleague to volunteer-for a number of activities and roles that support CASE and the advancement profession online.
