Jan. 9, 2012, is the new deadline for colleges, universities and independent schools in the United States and Canada to participate in the annual CASE survey on fundraising campaigns.
The CASE International Schools Survey, launched earlier this month, is open through 3 February 2012. International schools around the world, including those in the United States and Canada, are encouraged to complete the survey
CASE President John Lippincott has named six new members to the CASE Industry Advisory Council.

District IV congratulates Betheny Reid of the Dallas County Community College District and Kimberly Russel from Tyler Junior College, who were both appointed to serve as members of the advisory committee for the newly formed CASE Center for Community College Advancement.
Dozens of CASE members gathered in Conway, Ark., in November for a regional professional development workshop-the first part of a new initiative from CASE District IV to provide increased networking opportunities and professional development for its members.
Brent Edwards, director of educational programming for the CASE District IV board of directors, says he was pleased with the results of the one-day workshop. "I heard positive results about the professional development that our CASE members received," says Edwards. "Going forward, I believe the regional workshop format will prove to be of great value to our membership."
More than 60 CASE members, representing four states and dozens of institutions, were on hand to learn about social media from keynote speakers Matt Herek and Karl Miller.

Kevin J. Thompson is stepping down as district board chair after two and a half years in the position. "It has been a pleasure to lead CASE District VI, as this is an incredible volunteer organization," he said. Sheri Irwin-Gish of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will become district chair in 2012.
District VI is planning a joint conference with District V from Dec. 9-12, 2012 in Chicago. Hauli Sabatka of Hastings College and Catherine McGlinch of the Minnesota Medical Foundation are co-chairs of the conference.
