A new advisory committee for the CASE Center for Community College Advancement held its first meeting earlier this month in Dallas.
Betheny L. Reid, associate vice chancellor for development and president of the Dallas County Community College District Foundation, was elected chair. Kimberly A. Russell, vice president for advancement and external affairs at Tyler Junior College, was elected vice chair. The 12-member committee discussed a number of initiatives for the coming year and heard an update on the center, which has helped grow CASE's community college membership by more than 12 percent in its first six months.
