Description

Social media has tremendous potential for alumni engagement, but it doesn't mean you must throw away everything that you've learned and start over.

While the tools are reasonably new and rapidly evolving, the root strategies and desired outcomes for engagement on the social web have much in common with the tried-and-true strategies and goals that have informed traditional engagement programs for decades. The trick is figuring out how to use the unique properties and opportunities of the social web to expand and amplify your overall engagement program.

During this webinar, participants will:

  • Learn how some effective, time-tested techniques can be deployed on the social web,
  • See examples of how to use social tools to enhance existing programs and
  • Come to understand emerging opportunities for engagement.

This multimedia file is a recording of a webinar that took place Nov. 9, 2011.
