You know a talent management program would increase the success of your fundraising program—but how do you convince institutional leaders to make the investment?

Effective Measures: The Return on Investing in Talent Management tackles this question head-on by providing advancement professionals a way to demonstrate the bottom-line benefits of developing and retaining the people you worked so hard to recruit and hire.

In this comprehensive book, leaders in the talent management field examine key measures of success.

  • John Martin, Princeton University, talks about how and why numbers matter in a "people business."
  • Darrow Zeidenstein, Rice University, discusses a way to measure the opportunity costs associated with turnover in major gift teams.
  • Susan Paresky writes about the role of successful talent management in the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's $1 billion campaign.
  • Amy Bronson, Boston University, shares strategies for engaging and retaining top performers.
  • Trish Jackson and Larry Hunt, Smith College, delve into the critical partnership between advancement and human resources.

You'll gain additional insights from Peter Briechle and Eric Loomis, University of Rochester; Zachary Smith, UC Riverside; Christine Rawak, University of Michigan; Brenda Ricard, Boston College; Elizabeth Herman, EBH Consulting; Kendra Brown, Georgetown Day School; and Christy Thomas, Oregon Health & Science University.

Let these experts show you how to demonstrate and measure the success of your talent management efforts.
