Nearly one-fourth of living alumni have donated money to their alma maters, according to a new study that features more than 400 tables of data on a broad range of alumni relations-related issues.

Members of the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Oversight recently commended the work of the nonprofit sector but noted the need to curb abuses by some charities and foundations.
The Senate unanimously passed legislation (S. 1642) on July 24 which advances reauthorization of the Higher Education Act and sets policy for the next five years.
The U.S. Supreme Court's recent ruling on two voluntary school integration plans left past rulings on college affirmative action untouched and is expected to have little impact on college and university desegregation plans and other programs in which considerations of race are narrowly tailored to specific educational missions.
CASE District NewsDistricts I and II awarded scholarships to 12 promising students (six from each district) to attend the CASE District I and II combined tri-annual conference in New York City earlier this year. The scholarships are part of a continuing effort to foster new and young professionals. The students, mostly seniors who graduated in May, had the opportunity to attend presentations and network to help jumpstart their careers.
District II is busy planning its 2008 conference, "Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes," scheduled Jan. 26-29, 2008, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, at the Caribe Hilton. Details are available on the CASE District II Web site.
District III is planning its 2008 conference featuring the theme "Take 5" in Atlanta at the Hyatt Regency, Feb. 17-20, 2008.
District VI plans to hold its 2008 conference, "The Great Adventure," Jan. 12-15, 2008, in Denver, Colo.
Districts VII and VIII-Always dreamed of taking center stage in Vegas? Get ready for the "High Stakes Advancement" conference at The Mirage in Las Vegas, Dec. 2-5, when CASE Districts VII and VIII team up to present an international joint conference.
