Abilene Christian University Student Alumni Association

The Abilene Christian University Student Alumni Association will ask students to sign thank you notes in our campus center on Feb. 28. There will also be a video camera set up nearby so that students can give a quick thank you and say why they are thankful for donations. We have not asked for student donations in the last five years, so this endeavor is a first step in getting a student fund built over the next two years. For information, contact Samantha Adkins.

Albertus Magnus College Student Alumni Association

The Albertus Magnus College Student Alumni Association will host a tag day and social media campaign to educate students about the gifts that the college receives. We want everyone to know that many people contribute to an Albertus education and give students the opportunity to say thank you. We'll be unveiling a new hashtag for Twitter and Instagram. Auburn University Student Alumni Association

Auburn University's Student Alumni Association will have an Alma Mater Appreciation Day on Feb. 28. All students and faculty will be asked to wear something that represents their high school or college alma mater. Augustana College (S.D.) Student Alumni Association

SKOL, Augustana's student alumni association, will hold a "Love a Donor" event in February. The goal is to educate the campus community about the importance of philanthropy and to show appreciation to Augustana's generous donors through a thank you note writing campaign. Butler University Student Foundation

Black Hills State University Presidential Student Ambassadors

Bradley University Ambassadors

In support of the university's new logo and the Students Helping Students campaign, the Bradley University Ambassadors are creating a "sign the shield" event for Student Engagement and Philanthropy Day. The Bradley Shield logo will be enlarged and students who make a small donation to this cause will be able to sign the shield logo. This signed logo will be displayed at all school events and functions to show student support of the university. The donations will go towards the Students Helping Students campaign, which allows each student to give back to their own student body and ultimately the university itself. Bryant University Student Alumni Association and Class Gift Committee

The Bryant University Student Alumni Association and Class Gift Committee will partner on activities including a signing party to sign thank you cards to donors and video testimonials of students thanking donors. Carnegie Mellon University Student Loyal Scot Committee

The Student Loyal Scot Committee will host a "Show Your CMU Pride" event at campus gathering place The Fence, where anyone wearing CMU gear will get a free cup of hot cocoa or hot cider. Centenary College of Louisiana

Centenary College students recognize and appreciate the impact that donors have on the life of the college and their individual futures! On Student Engagement and Philanthropy Day, students will be taking the time out to personally thank donors to the institution by participating in a campus-wide letter-writing party to annual donors to the Centenary Fund for Student Scholarships, as well as personally contacting donors to thank them for their contributions to the college. Clark University

On Feb. 27 and Feb. 28, our Rocket the Pig student philanthropy committee is having a "Change Roundup" at each of the first-year residence halls. We'll be collecting change that will go toward Clark scholarships. The hall with the most donors receives a pizza party!

Cleveland State University Student Alumni Association

The Cleveland State University Student Alumni Association will host "Tomorrow Made Possible," its version of a tuition-runs-out day. Students will receive snacks and prizes in exchange for signing thank you cards to donors, posing for thank you pictures and answering trivia questions about donors that make each day possible at CSU. Colorado School of Mines 'DigNITARIES

The Colorado School of Mines' student philanthropy group, 'DigNITARIES, will hand out cookies shaped like a circle with one-third missing to represent the portion of each student's education that is funded by private support. They will also pass out buttons to students, faculty and staff members to wear on Feb. 28, along with a message asking them to wear their button proudly and help us educate students about the importance of alumni and parent contributions. For information, contact Kelly Hugger.

Colorado State University Presidential Ambassadors

On SEP Day, the Colorado State University Presidential Ambassadors will launch a daylong social media campaign that includes short videos focusing on educating the student body about how private giving has impacted their CSU experience. These videos will be shared on the CSU Presidential Ambassadors' Facebook page and Twitter account, along with other various CSU office pages. For information, contact Lindsay Sell.

The Cooper Union Student Philanthropy Committee

The Cooper Union Student Philanthropy Committee will engage the entire Cooper community in a full day of events designed to strengthen the culture of philanthropy on campus, with the goal of securing donations from 100 percent of the student body. To raise awareness of the importance of giving, student-made profiles of alumni donors will be shared in the school's lobbies, where students will collect gifts from their peers.

Students will also encourage their peers to sign and mail student-made thank you postcards to alumni donors, building a stronger connection between the student and alumni communities. All participating students will be entered into a raffle to win Cooper merchandise at the culminating celebration. Dickinson State University

The Dickinson State University Student Ambassadors are preparing for a day of gratitude on Student Engagement and Philanthropy Day. Students will set aside time to write personal thank you notes to donors, specifically recognizing those whose generosity contributed to the recent Student Fitness Center improvements. The social networks of the student ambassadors, as well as those of the alumni foundation, will feature a different scholarship donor and message of gratitude for their gifts in an ongoing effort to highlight the generations of generosity that make a difference in the lives of students. Eastern Illinois University

Alumni Services will host tables on campus where students will be encouraged to write thank you cards and sign a thank you banner in appreciation for donors to the University’s annual fund and endowed gifts funds. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in video messages expressing their gratitude to those who helped make their EIU experience possible. In addition to refreshments for participants, there will be a “History of EIU” display courtesy of Booth Library, educating students of the importance of giving back to their institution. The college will organize a meeting to establish its campus community foundation on Feb. 28, 2013.

Elgin Community College

ECC will have a thank you booth where students can write thank you notes to those who have been instrumental in their academic journey (faculty, family, mentors, etc.). There will also be a lunch session to educate and inspire students to be informed and generous philanthropists in their lifetime—and to steward those relationships with those who have invested in them. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University SAA

Which college will make the most "cents"?

ERAU-SAA is going to use Feb. 28 as a philanthropy awareness day. We are asking all students to show their pride and compete against other colleges by hosting penny wars. The college that collects the most pennies will have all of the money donated to their scholarship fund. We will also give out "I Gave to ERAU" stickers to anyone who donates. We're teaming up with the annual giving department to TAG (thank a giver) the offices of all faculty and staff that donated with a "Proud Supporter" decal.

Fairfield University SAA and Stags Give Back

On Thursday, Feb. 28, students will have several ways to get involved on Student Engagement and Philanthropy Day. Tables will be set up in two locations in the Barone Campus Center, where students can do one of the following: 

1. Tweet or Instagram us @FairfieldSAA about their favorite aspects of Fairfield, using #ILoveFairfield, for the chance to get a "Stag's Bucket List" T-shirt.
2. Donate to theh Senior Class Gift and get a Class of 2013 tumbler.
3. Sign the "Stags Give Back" donor appreciation banner and say why you're thankful so many Stags continue to give back.
4. Send a thank you card to an alumni volunteer and say thanks for always paying it forward. 

Students who do all of the above will get a T-shirt, tumbler and a coupon to the bookstore. Alumni will also be told about SEP Day through their social networks, where they can also tell us why #ILoveFairfield for a chance to win alumni Stag gear.

Ferris State University Student Alumni Gold Club

The Ferris State University Student Alumni Gold Club will work with key departments around campus to determine the top 50 local businesses that donate financially or provide services to the university. On SEP Day, members of the club will write thank you notes, collect donations from university departments and have the university mascot hand-deliver a gift basket with a thank you note to show their appreciation. Georgetown University 1634 Society

The 1634 Society will engage students in a campus-wide event designed to educate undergraduate students about the importance of philanthropy to the university. This initiative will be called TAG Day – Thanking Alumni and Friends for Giving. Through this event, we will increase awareness about philanthropy, by educating students about the Campaign for Georgetown, and how alumni gifts benefit every student. The event will engage students in thanking donors through writing thank you cards, as well as through video and social media and by placing poster boards and banners around campus that highlight the spaces, centers, and organizations on our campus that exist thanks to generosity of our donors. The goal of this event is to raise awareness among the student population about the myriad benefits the entire campus community enjoys as a result of philanthropic giving. 

On Feb. 28, the Class of 2016 will enjoy an all-class BBQ hosted by the 1634 Society to thank them for their participation in #1forGU. The residence hall with the highest participation will receive VIP access at the BBQ as well as a special swag bag. For information, contact Scott Chessare.

Georgia State University Student Alumni Association

The Student Alumni Association will conduct a Penny War. There will be four five-gallon water jugs, each assigned to a different organization. The organizations will compete to collect the most pennies—but participants can sabotage the other organizations by placing silver change in their containers. All proceeds will go to the charity of the winning organization's choice. For information, contact Jasmine Stewart.

Goucher College Gophers for Goucher

Students will be able to make a video testimonial and give thanks to alumni for their support. They'll also have the opportunity to make a gift to the annual fund in honor of their favorite professor, coach, roommate, advisor, etc. We will also have a donor wall listing all the students who have made a gift so far this fiscal year.

Hastings College Public Relations Ambassadors

We are hosting an "Alma Mater Appreciation Day," sponsored by the Public Relations Ambassadors, the alumni association and the advancement office. Activities will include:

• A presentation from advancement staff, with slides on six big-screen TVs, that will educate students on what the advancement office does, who it serves and how these people and their donations have an impact on their education.
• A video recording of students sharing what they are thankful for. We will edit these interviews into a thank you video that will be sent to donors.
• Photos with students and the school mascot. We'll ask students to change their Twitter or Facebook photo for the day to these pictures in appreciation of their alma mater.
• A social media scavenger hunt.

Heidelberg University Student Alumni Association

The Heidelberg University Student Alumni Association will be doing a TAG (Thank a Giver) Day. We will be tagging various campus objects, buildings, etc., that donors have given to campus to educate students and our campus family of how much our donors provide. Hocking College Foundation

Hocking College Foundation will encourage students to write thank you notes to faculty and staff who have helped them, and will then deliver the notes. For information, contact Libby Villavicencio.

Indiana University of Pennsylvania IUP Ambassadors

The IUP Ambassadors are coordinating with the Office of Annual Giving to kick off the Student Giving Campaign/University Family Campaign. Ambassadors will be staged around the university as a mock scavenger hunt still (wearing sandwhich boards with facts). There will be a main location for the signing of "Thank You" donor postcards, shirts, food, etc. For information, contact Sara Lawer.

Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis

Feb. 28 will be the final day of the JagProud week at IUPUI, the first for the campus. It will focus on the philanthropic efforts and include a scavenger hunt around campus highlighting different gifts that have been given over the years. There will also be a blood drive and a Philanthropy Fair, where all of the student organizations can take time to highlight their particular philanthropic focus. On Feb. 28, there will be an awards ceremony and pack-the-stadium event for IUPUI's basketball game against South Dakota. Ithaca College Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow

Ithaca College's Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow will createa  video montage of students thanking donors for their Ithaca College experience. This montage will then play throughout the day on Feb. 28 as STAT hosts an ice cream social and asks students to personalize a postcard thanking a first-time donor to the Ithaca College Annual Fund. Kansas State University

The Kansas State University Student Foundation will stage an interactive social media campaign that empowers students, alumni and friends of K-State to express why they believe in the power of philanthropy.  For information, contact Mindy Weixelman.

The Kansas State University Student Alumni Board is giving students the chance to write thank you notes to anyone they feel has impacted their university experience. That could be a faculty member, donor or even their high school guidance counselor. The SAB will be set up in the student union on Feb. 28.

Lake Superior State University

The Lake Superior State University SAILS program will ask students to sign thank you cards to donors—specifically, to donors who are also university employees. They will then share the cards with donors. The event will take place the first week of March, as the university is on spring break the week of Feb. 28. For information, contact Susan Fitzpatrick.

Linfield College Student Alumni Association

Every year, Linfield College celebrates its "birthday." The Student Alumni Association puts on an event called "Happy Birthday, Linfield," and this year we will celebrate its 155th birthday. At this event, students will be invited to learn about the history and traditions of Linfield while enjoying cake and festivities. For more information, contact Christine Diss.

McMurry University Student Foundation

Our organization fundraises all year to give it back to campus, so on Feb. 28 we will hold a student-wide vote for where these funds will go. We have also ordered a large banner that says "Thank You, Donors!" and will have students sign the giant card as they walk by. If a student opts to have their photo taken with a "Thanks to [donor's name] I am ready to [academic activity]" or to write a thank you note to a donor, they will get a T-shirt that says "Thank you, Donors!" 

We have hired a videographer to create a thank you video that we will send to all donors that submit email addresses after the event.

Missouri State University REAL Bears

Missouri State University is celebrating CASE Student Engagement and Philanthropy Day with a publicity campaign promoting the year-round philanthropy and engagement that MSU students participate in. Student volunteers are also recruiting more students for service projects and organizations. The recently founded Collegiate Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals is actively recruiting students for their organization. The Office of Student Engagement has opportunities for upcoming service and volunteer activities, including the 2013 alternative spring break. REAL Bears, the alumni student ambassador organization, assists the alumni office year-round and is very active in service to the university and community.

Monmouth University Student Alumni Association

The Monmouth University Student Alumni Association will set up a table in our student center with thank you cards for students to fill out. The cards will be for people who have purchased personalized bricks for our Hawk Walk Brick Campaign. Part of the proceeds from the campaign go to SAA, so we will show our appreciation for their gift and thank them for leaving their legacy on our campus. For information, contact Laura Embry.

Montana State University Student Alumni Association

The Montana State University Student Alumni Association will invite an alumni foundation staff member to their weekly meeting to talk about the mission of the MSU Alumni Foundation and how they are working to advance the university. Following the presentation, SAA members will be writing thank you notes to the alumni foundation staff for their hard work in creating lifelong relationships and strengthening MSU's resources to advance and further its mission to educate students, create knowledge and art, and serve communities by integrating learning, discovery and engagement. Mount Mercy University

The Mount Mercy Office of Development and Alumni Relations has planned an entire week’s worth of events that will highlight student engagement and philanthropy. Events include: Club Friday, Vegas Night, Mount Mercy Pride Monday, Take Time to Help Tuesday, Worship Wednesday and Tag Day Thursday. Nichols College Student Alumni Society

Last April, the Nichols College Student Alumni Society launched its first weeklong student philanthropy program, "The Gift of Opportunity" (TGOP). On Student Engagement and Philanthropy Day, SAS will introduce a new aspect to this program, setting up tables across campus and distributing pledge forms to encourage students to participate in the Nichols Fund. North Carolina Central University Pre-Alumni Club

North Carolina Central University's Pre-Alumni Club will ask students to participate in Student Philanthropy Week. To kick off the week, T-shirts will be distributed at the basketball game of the year against archrival NC A&T, on Feb. 23. On Feb. 27, students will collect change to drive home the importance of participation. The week will conclude on Feb. 28 with the Maroon and Gray Give Back Day. Students will participate in a Love Alum Thank You Card Workshop, penning notes to our gracious donors to raise awareness about alumni giving and encourage students to start their own future of philanthropy. North Dakota State University Bison Ambassadors

North Dakota State University's Bison Ambassadors will raise student awareness of generous alumni donations by handing out candy with stickers near certain classrooms explaining that the building or auditorium's construction or renovation was made possible by alumni donations. Northeastern University Student Alumni Association and Senior Class Gift Drive

Members of the Class of 2013 Senior Class Gift Drive will highlight and promote the history and importance of student philanthropy at Northeastern. The committee has several events planned during the day. In the morning and afternoon, we will hand out hot chocolate and coffee to fellow students in various locations on campus to promote Philantrophy Phacts. There will be URL/QR codes on each cup with facts about student engagement and philanthropy at Northeastern. Members will use this event to educate students about the importance of charitable giving to Northeastern and promote the Senior Class Gift Drive and Change for Change program. The day will also feature a Catalyst Showcase. Catalyst is our award-winning online fundraising tool, design specifically to help student organizations raise money for projects. The program allows students to designate their gifts directly to their peers’ initiatives. Northern Kentucky University Student Alumni Association

The week of Feb. 25 will be thaNKU Week. Activities include bringing donors to campus to have lunch with scholarship recipients, creating a banner that students will sign, thanking donors and writing individual notes to donors. Oakland University Senior Class Gift and Student Alumni Society

The Oakland University Senior Class Gift and Student Alumni Society will be educating students about the importance of philanthropy through tabling. Also we will be giving away coffee in coffee holders that read "National Student Engagement and Philanthropy Day" on one side and "Senior Class Gift" on another side. The Ohio State University Student-Alumni Council

The Ohio State University Student-Alumni Council will host a thank you booth, providing students with free thank you cards to write a note of appreciation to those who have impacted their Ohio State experience. Prairie View A&M University Student Development Initiative

The Prairie View A&M University Student Development Initiative will conduct student soundbites answering the question, "Why I give to PVAMU." We will compose a video that will be uploaded on Feb. 28, 2013, highlighting the importance of philanthropy. This video will be shared on the university's website and social networking sites. Radford University soRAD

Radford University’s soRAD is planning to host an event for all students in celebration of their F.U.N. (Funding University Needs) Drive. The drive will begin on Feb. 1 and finish on February 28. Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute weR INSPIRED

weR INSPIRED celebrates the impact and inspiration of donor philanthropy on the campus of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. What inspires you? How have alumni donors inspired your education? How is philanthropy an inspiration to all of us?

Members of weR: The Spirit of Rensselaer Society will hand out weR INSPIRED awareness bracelets across campus. Individuals who receive awareness bracelets will get two, and will be asked to “pay it forward” by sharing the second bracelet with a friend or colleague. Faculty and staff donors will wear the bracelets throughout the day. There will be a poster campaign on campus, with quotes from students, alumni and faculty helping to build awareness of philanthropy. Social media will also be used to allow students and alumni to talk about what truly inspires them about Rensselaer. For information, contact Geoff Seber.

Rhodes University (South Africa)

Give5 is a fundraising campaign run by students to raise money from fellow students, for fellow students. R44,133.93 was raised in 2012 and the money went to our annual fund's Pocket Money Fund, which provides R130 for students who are on bursaries (scholarships) but do not have enough money at the end of the month to buy things such as toiletries. Rhodes University students took the call to heart, and every single residence hall participated. R5 coins were asked for and the amount raised was incredible—especially for the smallest university in South Africa. For information, contact Terry McCarthy.   

Rutgers University Student Philanthropy Council

Rutgers University will be hosting Student Engagement and Philanthropy Day on campus this year at the Livingston Student Center. We will provide resources for students that can help them navigate though their academic careers, and prepare them to enter the world as a Rutgers alumni. In addition to providing educational material, we will educate students on the importance philanthropy plays in their educations. The Student Philanthropy Council will facilitate this event and encourage donations on behalf of class gifts to support an Emergency Scholarship Fund or any academic unit they wish to contribute towards. 

Sacred Heart University

Sacred Heart University Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow and Forever Pioneers will join forces for a Tag Day and Thank-a-Thon postcard writing event to celebrate Student Engagement and Philanthropy Day.

Saint Louis University Class Legacy Program

Saint Louis Unviersity students will celebrate donor generosity on Icing on the Cake Day, sponsored by the Class Legacy Program. This day signifies the symbolic day in which tuition dollars are exhausted and donor support kicks in. On this day, students will sign an oversized thank you card, take part in a thank you note writing promotion, participate in a student video and receive a piece of cake. Seton Hill University Student Alumni Association

Feb. 28, 2013, will be Thank a Donor Day at Seton Hill. On Feb. 27, student leaders will come together and sign thank you postcards to donors. It is hoped that students will be matched with donors who were the same major or participated in a similar club, sport or organization. On Feb. 28, the student body will be invited to sign postcards at the start of their classes and in two locations on campus. In addition, photographs with students and a short video will be created wherein students will tell donors and alumni what they are thankful for at Seton Hill University. Sewickley Academy

Sewickley Academy's advancement office is participating in Student Engagement and Philanthropy Day in the Senior School Commons from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. by hosting its first-ever “philanthropy fair.” Students will have the opportunity to learn about the various programs that are sustained through fundraising and donor support. The fair will feature the Home & School Association (the school’s parent association), the Secret Garden, Summerbridge Pittsburgh, and the Annual Fund, which supports the Academy’s current-year operating expenses. Each program will have its own table and display, informational materials and a volunteer to help answer questions.

Simpson College Student Alumni Association

Transylvania University Student Alumni Association

Transylvania students are invited to say thank you to alumni for making a difference in their lives. It can be for volunteering or giving to scholarship funds—whatever they are moved to say is fine. They can also post messages on our Facebook page or submit them to the alumni office. The main Transylvania homepage will have a message up directing people to the thank you page to view the messages. Trinity University Student Ambassadors

The Trinity University Student Ambassadors will hold a duck race. Each student that has made a gift to Trinity this fiscal year will be assigned a duck. All the ducks will be placed in the acequia on campus. Prizes will be given to the first three ducks that float to the end. We hope this will be a nice visual of student philanthropy at Trinity and will encourage other students to support the university. For information, contact Carissa Costello.

United World College of South East Asia

The Graduating Class of 2013 will formally launch their graduate gift. Last year, the Class of 2012 donated for a wishing well in the middle school of UWCSEA Dover. It is a lasting gift that also left behind a legacy as each and every donation, or "wish," made to the well will go towards the college's Scholarship Programme. This year, the Class of 2013 will raise money to leave their own gift to the college. The programme will start on 28 February.

Universidad de Monterrey

The Student Council for Development (COED) will organize a two-week campaign, to conclude on Feb. 28, that will invite all students on campus to vote for the three best professors that they've had during their stay at the university. Each student will write the qualities of their chosen professors on the back of a card that says "I Love UDEM," COED's slogan. In addition, COED will organize a "Mile for Help" on SEP Day. University of Birmingham

The University of Birmingham will place tags around campus on 28 February advertising the impact of philanthropy on our campus. We will take pictures of this tag campaign and tweet them via our @birminghamalum and @unibirmingham Twitter accounts on that day.

University of Brighton

’A Day of Thanks’ at the University of Brighton will see student recipients of philanthropic funding from across the university invited to thank donors in a number of different ways, including adding their own messages to a wall of thanks and filming short videos to be posted via social media. Prizes will be offered for the most creative posting and to the club/society that generates the most postings on the day. 

The various sources of funding available to students to enhance their university experience will be promoted. Members of the student calling team will be stationed at each of our five campuses encouraging students to get involved and the evening will see the calling team making thank you calls to current donors. UC Davis will launch Tradition 34 in its traditions book, "Give Back," which will educate students on the importance of giving back to the college and community. University of California, Santa Cruz

On Feb. 28, 2013, Slug 2 Slug will host a Thank-a-thon in the Quarry Plaza at UC Santa Cruz. Slug 2 Slug members will set up a table with information and promotion items, and provide students with a list of alumni who have made gifts to various campus programs. Students will have the opportunity to send a handwritten note to an alum, expressing their gratitude for a specific gift and the impact that gift has had on them. University College London

UCL is exclusively opening Jeremy Bentham’s photo booth for one day only, where students and staff can come and have their ‘thank you’ photo taken to illustrate the support given to the huge range of projects, buildings and scholarships by alumni.

Jeremy is our UCL celebrity and his auto-icon will supervise the action during the day. Excited participants will be able to take home their very own Bentham head to treasure. For information, contact James Davis.

University of Detroit Mercy

The Student Alumni Association is assisting the Office of Alumni Relations and the Office of Annual Giving with UDM Philanthropy Awareness Day. Throughout the week, there will be posters and bows on each building or space that was made possible by generous UDM alumni. In addition, the SAA filmed four short videos, with one being released each day leading up to Philanthropy Awareness Day on Feb. 28. The videos feature the SAA members playing a mock "Family Feud" style game about UDM and alumni giving. On Feb. 28, the alumni association and the SAA are hosting a "Study Break" for current UDM students. We will be giving away free hot chocolate in a UDM-branded paper mug.

University of Evansville Student Alumni Association

The University of Evansville Student Alumni Association and Office of Annual Giving will hold an "I Heart UE" event on Feb. 28. The goal is to educate the campus community about the importance of philanthropy and upcoming philanthropy week (March 18–22). All students, faculty and staff will be invited to the "I Heart UE" photo booth setup in the university center during lunch hours. Students will be encouraged to stop by, write reasons they love UE on posters and have their photos taken in front of the press backdrop. University of Idaho Student Alumni Relations Board and Homecoming Committee

The University of Idaho Student Alumni Relations Board will sponsor an event for its soon-to-be graduates, connecting them with their alma mater and the Office of Alumni Relations. 

On the same day, the university's homecoming committee will announce its 2013 homecoming theme, showcasing the new graphics and grand marshal as well as launching the website and homecoming schedule.

University of Illinois Student Alumni Ambassadors and 1867 Society

"I Love Illinois" is a week-long event at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign that seeks to not only increase school pride but also raise awareness of the philanthropic efforts donors have made on campus. Throughout the week, members of the 1867 Society and the Student Alumni Ambassadors will team up to host different events for students. University of Florida Cicerones

The Cicerones will wear their UFAA student member shirts at a designated time on campus on SEP Day, during which they will perform random acts of kindness for students.

University of Kansas

The Student Endowment Board will have two informational tables in prominent campus locations filled with educational brochures (example) and philanthropy-in-action handouts for students and faculty about the role of philanthropic giving in higher education. Our board members will be at these tables to talk about how alumni and donors impact our college experience, both in and out of the classroom.

Additionally, we will have customized coffee sleeves with our logo and hot chocolate to hand out for those students who stop by to sign a thank you card to alumni who have donated since Jan. 1.

University of Missouri Student Foundation

Members of the Mizzou Student Foundation will hand out hot chocolate and cider throughout the day to fellow students in our Student Center. There will be stickers on each cup with facts about student engagement and philanthropy at Mizzou. In addition, members will educate students about the importance of charitable giving to MU. University of Nebraska Lincoln Scarlet Guard

The University of Nebraska Lincoln Scarlet Guard is holding a blood drive in partnership with the Nebraska Blood Bank in honor of Student Engagement and Philanthropy Day. The University of Nevada Las Vegas

The UNLV Student Alumni Association, in conjunction with the UNLV Foundation, will host a series of events to celebrate Student Engagement and Philanthropy Day. We are planning a thank-a-thon, where students will receive personalized thank you cards signed by our 402 registered student organizations. Our volunteers, including trustees, former trustees, advisory boards, the Parents Council, alumni association board members and regional clubs will receive postcards thanking them for their service. Finally, we will show our gratitude to the students that helped make this all possible with cookies and hot chocolate.

University of New Mexico

The UNM Trailblazers will host "I Love UNM Week," a new event on campus. It will take place Feb. 25 to March 1, with various events hosted by student organizations and departments as a way of celebrating the university's birthday on Feb. 28. The Trailblazers will host a philanthropic event on Tuesday, Feb. 26, for the UNM Children's Hospital. We will set up tables within the student union building and host a card-making campaign to send to patients at the hospital. Students are invited to attend and create a card, which we will then deliver to the hospital on Thursday, Feb. 28.

University of North Carolina Asheville Student Alumni Association

The Student Alumni Association is sponsoring Student Philanthropy Week Feb. 21-28. Throughout the week they will encourage students to get involved with activities that highlight the importance of student engagement in both campus life and the community. They will also feature a campus scavenger hunt to demonstrate the importance of private donations. On Feb. 28, all students will be invited to a celebration on the quad to recognize students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends who donate their time, talents and resources to improve the campus and community. University of North Carolina Chapel Hill Heelraisers Council

The Heelraisers Council will host a student engagement day on campus to promote the importance of philanthropy and the pivotal role students play in the act of supporting the university.

In addition to overall education and solicitation among students, the Heelraisers Council in conjunction with the Senior Marshals will host a Carolina Pride Day, in which students, faculty and staff will be asked to wear Carolina gear in preparation for the inaugural Carolina–Duke Senior Campaign Challenge that will end the following Friday. University of North Carolina Wilmington Student Ambassadors

The UNC Wilmington Student Ambassadors are participating in a campuswide philanthropy day recognizing campus departments that have reached 60 percent participation in the "Grow It Your Way" faculty and staff campaign. Throughout the day, ambassadors will suprise departments with appreciation gifts. In addition, our annual Scholarship Appreciation Dinner will be held that evening, with donors and their student recipients coming together to celebrate the important enrichments made possible by annual and endowed scholarships. The University of Northern Iowa CATS are planning a Love a Donor Day, giving students an opportunity to write thank you cards to donors. This will take place in our student union. University of North Texas Student Alumni Association

The UNT Student Alumni Association is hosting an "I Heart UNT" Day. We will be asking students to have their picture taken with a sign that reads "I Heart UNT because _____" or "I give back to UNT by _____." They are then entered to win an "I Heart UNT" shirt. If they are unable to answer how they give back, they can speak with representatives from campus organizations like the Center for Leadership and Service or Student Activities. They can also tweet, Instagram or submit a Vine video with the hashtag #iheartunt to be entered in the shirt giveaway. University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Student Alumni Association

The Pitt-Bradford Student Alumni Association, in partnership with the Office of Annual Giving, will hold a "PAWS & Give Thanks" Day on Feb. 28. The purpose of the event is to educate students about giving back and the impact of gifts from generous alumni and donors to their education. University of Rhode Island Student Alumni Council and Student Alumni Association

The URI Foundation's Student Philanthropy Council and Student Alumni Association are hosting a "Thank a Donor" day, where students will be invited to sign a giant thank you card to donors. An information table, staffed by council members, will include tabletop posters on the impact of donor support. Rhody, the URI mascot, will be on hand to take photos with students. University of Sydney Student Alumni Association

On Feb. 28, 2013, The University of Sydney Student Alumni Association will host a fete stall at orientation week ("O-Week"), where they welcome thousands of new students to campus. Volunteers will be on hand to explain to new students what the Student Alumni Association is all about. They will be promoting their networking and fundraising events calendar and will be recruiting new members who are keen to get involved and make a difference. They will also run a survey to ask new and current students key questions about their philanthropic interests and how they would like to engage with Sydney alumni. University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Student Alumni Council, Future Alumni Members and Student Foundation

The UTC Student Alumni Council, Future Alumni Members and Student Foundation are teaming up for "I Love UTC Week" events. The week will help encourage school spirit and help students understand how tuition works. On Wednesday, the Future Alumni Members will let students take pictures with a big picture frame and write why they love UTC on it. Photos will be uploaded online so everyone can have them.

On Thursday, Student Engagement and Philanthropy Day, the Student Foundation will host Tag Day, Tuition Freedom Day and will conclude their "Month of Change" campaign. The first, a Tag Day promotion, will educate students about the financial demands of the university and the need for alumni support. University of Texas San Antonio

UTSA Ambassadors will sponsor a faculty and staff appreciation day. We will have a table in the outdoor student area with thank you notes for students to fill out. The ambassadors will deliver the notes to all of the departments. This is a really nice way to let our faculty and staff know how much we appreciate them.

University of Victoria Student Ambassadors

On Thursday, Feb. 28, the University of Victoria Student Ambassadors will ask students to sign a thank you banner on campus in front of the main school library. The ambassadors will give away "I Love UVic" bags and stickers, UVic 50th anniversary mugs and a donor relations bookmark detailing what donor support means to the university and students. The ambassadors will record the day through photos that will be converted into a video for future donor events.

University of Virginia UVaClubs Student Ambassadors

The UVaClubs Student Ambassadors will send thank you emails on Feb. 28 to their hometown UVaClub leaders. Roughly 800 volunteers will be honored for their commitment to building the UVa community around the country and across the world. The UVaClubs Student Ambassadors work closely with these leaders throughout the year and are excited to send a special thanks on Student Engagement and Philanthropy Day. University of West Florida Student Alumni Association

The University of West Florida Student Alumni Association, with the help of the University Student Ambassadors, will host a “Show Your Argo Pride and Give Thanks” event on campus. Students who are wearing UWF gear will receive a small gift and be encouraged to write a thank you letter. Students will learn the importance of donors and giving back to their university. The University of Wisconsin - Green Bay

The UW-Green Bay Future Alumni Association (FAA) will coordinate two events for Student Engagement and Philanthropy Day. First, they will be tagging student scholarship recipients around campus to help bring awareness to students about how donors have a direct impact on students. Second, the FAA will run a donor appreciation table in the student union. The table will have a "did you know" contest about philanthropy at UW-Green Bay, and students will also encourage classmates to sign thank you cards to donors.

Western Illinois University Student Alumni Leadership Council

The Western Illinois University Student Alumni Leadership Council, in collaboration with the WIU Annual Fund, will be hosting a thank you campaign recognizing the continued support that WIU has received from local alumni, faculty, staff, community members and friends over the past year. SALC will send more than 500 handwritten thank you cards to alumni in the Macomb, Ill. area. SALC members will be thanking WIU faculty and staff members who have donated to the university during the current fiscal year by distributing "We are Western" bracelets. Villanova University Student Alumni Association

Feb. 28, 2013, will be the Villanova University Student Alumni Association's "I ♥ Villanova" Day. Students will be asked to stop by our booth on campus to participate in a video about why they love Villanova and its generous donors. The campus community will also be asked to submit images using Instagram and Twitter of what they believe makes Villanova so special. In return, participants may receive an "I ♥ Villanova" button or tank top. Washington State University Alumni Ambassadors

The Washington State University Alumni Ambassadors will host Cougar Pride Days, a time to beautify the campus by doing general cleanup, creating new roads and laying sidewalks. Students, faculty, staff and the community participate. For information, contact Carrie Neppel.

Webster University Student Ambassadors

Webster University Student Ambassadors will offer three activities:

• The "Gorlok Walk," where ambassadors will videotape students while quizzing their knowledge of the university and philanthropy.

• "Button Day," in which faculty and staff who have donated during the current fiscal year will be given a button that says "I Give It, I Got It, Philanthropy @ Webster."  This will make students aware of giving to the university and show that faculty and staff give back in time, talent and treasure. 

• A thank-a-thon, during which students can sign thank you postcards to alumni donors.  Tables will be set up during lunch in the University Center and before night classes.

Winthrop University Student Alumni Council

Winthrop University's Student Alumni Council will be writing thank you notes to donors in honor of Student Engagement and Philanthropy Day.
