CASE ASAP District II

Hello, District 2!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to the academic year.

District 2 was proudly represented at the CASE Conference for Student Advancement in Atlanta, Georgia this past August. It was a record-breaking year with over 832 attendees! Many of you presented on numerous topics and shared student advancement tips with other universities. I hope you took away some great ideas to implement on your campus.

If you missed the convention this year, we'd love to see you at the 2017 District 2 Conference at Nipissing University in North Bay, Ontario. The conference will be held on February17-19, 2017.

I encourage every group in our district to participate in Student Engagement and Philanthropy Month in Feb. 2017. Select any date in Feb. and plan one or more activities that educate students on the importance of philanthropy and the role it plays at your school. Fourteen D2 schools' programming was featured on the CASE website this past year. Let's make it 15 or more in 2017!

Throughout the year, please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns on our Facebook group or e-mail. I'm so happy to have talked with many of you at the national conference and look forward to meeting more of you throughout my term as District 2 Representative. I want to enhance your CASE ASAP experience to the best it can be!

Sincerely,

Laura Amato

District 2 Organization Spotlight

University of Delaware SAA members drove their fellow students in golf carts to educate them about student philanthropy.

The University of Delaware Student Alumni Ambassadors recently launched a student engagement and philanthropy program called Class Cab on their campus.

The program is a play on the hit game show "Cash Cab." Students catch a ride in golf carts across campus by answering questions about philanthropy education and the University of Delaware bucket list. Questions were asked by popular staff and faculty and prizes were awarded throughout the trip. University of Delaware Student Alumni Association also won Outstanding Emerging Organization at the 2016 CASE ASAP District 2 Awards.
