Rectors and Presidents Fundraising Study Tour
June 5 - 7, 2013
Study Tour
Oxford, Reading, Bristol, United Kingdom
The challenge for European universities is ever growing and is dispersed across many levels: how to balance excellence with access and how to remain competitive internationally - in both research and teaching. Institutional leaders are continuing to recognise the importance of raising philanthropic income for their institutions.
British Higher Education institutions have come to value an understanding of philanthropy and fundraising skills among the attributes of their senior leaders, and there is much to be learned from the UK model.
The CASE Europe Rectors and Presidents Fundraising Study Tour provides an exclusive opportunity to visit and learn from the development operations of leading English universities with diverse traditions, structures and missions.
This year, the Study Tour is taking place across three unique institutions: The University of Oxford, University of Reading and University of Bristol. Attend the tour to benefit from unprecedented access to these institutions.
Previous participants of this event were particularly encouraged by the transferability of the UK model, the access to key figures within the institutions and the openness of the discussions. They returned home with practical steps to take and the confidence to strengthen "institutional advancement" in their own universities.
It is strongly recommended that Rectors and Presidents from Higher Education Institutions across Europe attend this fundraising study tour. The programme will deliver insights, analysis, clarity and discussion for institutional leaders who wish to strengthen their understanding of philanthropic fundraising first-hand, in a peer environment.
