Ellie Lovell
Online Communications Manager
University of Warwick

Ellie Lovell has worked in the communications office at the University of Warwick since 2004, most recently as editor on a new digital project, the Knowledge Centre. During the past eight years at Warwick, Lovell has gained extensive experience of managing the University of Warwick website, maintaining the university's online corporate identity, establishing the university's presence on social media sites and advising colleagues across the university in best practice in online communications.


Ken Punter
Head of Digital and Online Communications

Ken is head of the digital and online communications team at the University of Warwick and is responsible for guiding and managing digital corporate communications. Ken's background in communications technologies goes back over 15 years to the mobile-comms market of the mid 1990s. He worked with such pioneers of the day as: Psion, Palm, Handspring, Ericsson and Palmtop (the forerunner of TomTom). Experienced both agency and client side he states that he's interested in how online reflects cultural changes but gets a bit bored by the over-hype that always surrounds the latest innovation.

Elizabeth Allen has worked with educational institutions, nonprofits and the private sector to develop communication strategies and goals.

She has served on the faculty at several CASE district and national conferences, and was the chair of the 2010 CASE Social Media and Community conference. She has also delivered numerous presentations to nonprofits, to educational institutions and to private companies.

She is a member of the Alumni Futures Advisory Group. She has been a recipient of the CASE "Stellar Speaker" and "Faculty Star" awards. Her writing has been published in CURRENTS magazine and in a chapter for Alumni Relations: A Newcomer's Guide to Success. In addition to her own blog, Allen has been featured as an author for several higher education blogs, including a role as regular contributing author to edSocialMedia.

Allen holds a bachelor's degree from Scripps College.

Adrian Salmon
Annual Fund Manager
University of Leeds

Adrian Salmon joined the University of Leeds as Annual Fund Manager in 2008, having previously been head of client services for The Phone Room Ltd in Oxford. Salmon and his colleagues at Leeds have doubled the University's annual giving income over the last three years, and have recently successfully relaunched Leeds' Alumni Annual Fund with the new identity of the Footsteps Fund.


Adam Robinson
Annual Fund Officer
University of Leeds

Robinson has been in post as the University of Leed's Annual Fund Officer since 2008. He previously worked for two years as communications assistant, gaining valuable insight and expertise in Alumni Relations. His main responsibility today is to manage the 70-strong student fundraising team for the newly-named Footsteps Fund.

 


Tim Ngwena
Social Media Consultant and former Students' Union President

Tim Ngwena is a freelance digital consultant specialising in the education sector. He supports a wide range of clients with digital strategies, specifically: email marketing, social media strategy, website optimisation and goal tracking across digital platforms. He's held a range of positions within higher education communications, most recently, Communications Manager at the University of York, where he also served as the Students' Union president for two years - giving a him a unique perspective on the student journey from applicant to alumni.
