Ann Badger Senior Consultant Marts & Lundy |
Ann Badger is currently the director of college advancement at Ormond College at the University of Melbourne. Prior to this, she was director of community relations at Melbourne Grammar School for more than ten years. In both positions, she has been responsible for all advancement areas including alumni, community, marketing, communications and fundraising. She also oversees admissions and student recruitment at Ormond.
Ann is a past president of both ADAPE Vic/Tas and ADAPE (now EducatePlus) Australasia Inc. and was the recipient of that organisation's peak award in 2000. She has presented at CASE conferences in the United States, Asia-Pacific and Europe, and was a faculty member at the Spring Institute in Durham in the UK. Ann has been a key presenter at numerous ADAPE Conferences, chaired the CASE Asia Pacific Institute in Educational Fundraising (APIEF) in 2009 and 2010, and was a faculty member in 2011 and 2012.
Having successfully concluded three capital campaigns and with a depth of experience across advancement, Ann specialises in strategic planning, board and leadership engagement, major gift fundraising, communications and marketing, staff development and integrating the various strands of advancement to maximise the outcomes for stakeholders and the institution.
A past teacher of English at both the secondary and tertiary level, Ann has a particular passion for and interest in professional development and raising the profile and standards of advancement within Australasia and globally.
Ann is taking up a position as the first Asia Pacific based senior consultant with Marts& Lundy from mid April 2013.

Tony has been a member of the New Zealand Fundraising Institute since 1992, and after working in Social Services, has led Advancement at the University of Waikato (New Zealand), the University of Limerick (Ireland), Wells Cathedral School (UK) and now Geelong Grammar School (Australia).
Tony has served on the CASE Commission on Philanthropy; has taught fundraising in New Zealand, Ireland, the UK and Australia; has won awards for excellence in fundraising practice presented by FINZ, ADAPE and CASE; and has worked as a fundraising consultant in Church, Hospital and Educational fundraising in New Zealand, Ireland and the UK. Tony's work has involved substantial experience working within the USA and for the last seven years, in Asia.
Tony has wide experience in all aspects of Advancement, with specialities in strategic planning, institutional alignment with Advancement strategies, campaign planning, Foundation development, marketing and communications strategies, major gift asking, international strategy and staff development.
Tony began work as a truck driver, has been a wine and spirit salesman, worked for the BBC in London for two years and had his own nationwide radio programme on National Radio in New Zealand for 12 years, was a fire-fighter for eleven years and was once chosen for the New Zealand Debating Team. Having brought up twins, and now having given up the high trapeze (‘big flyer'), Tony is trying to find time for golf and to master the complexities of his now not so new camera. Tony has been an ordained Anglican Priest since 1976.
