Learn how one small shop incorporated multimedia content without major investment in anything other than time, learning and a willingness to experiment. Dr. Carlos Barroso will share the successes, failures and lessons learned and share advice on what you can do to move your multimedia projects forward.

Tools of the Trade: An Overview
In this session, we'll define multimedia and explore relevant terminology. We'll also talk about how to use a variety of mediums to provide rich content. We'll give interview and video taping tips as well as sharing some notes on the best tools and equipment to use.

Enhancing Photography Skills
Whether you are shooting your own photos or working with a professional photographer, it is critical to understand the basics of what makes a photograph compelling, including composition, lighting and content. Learn from a professional photographer how to get the best results for your projects, and how to find, hirer and collaborate with professional image-makers.

Story Telling With Still Photos & Audio, No Video Required
Discover a compelling new storytelling tool for events, web sites and e-communication. Still photographs capture decisive moments, and when blended with audio interviews of real people telling their own stories, your viewers are impacted emotionally. Be introduced to software, editing, interview techniques, plus microphones and recorders.

  • Want to Create a Podcast?
    Is there still a place for audio and podcasts? In this session, we will talk about the role of audio and how it can be best leveraged. We will go over tips, best practices, and tools.
  • Copyright and Multimedia: Am I in Trouble?
    Are you concerned by the copyright legality of any of the multimedia content you are posting online? This session will discuss what educational administrators should know about copyright law and will also include an introduction to Fair Use from one school administrator's point of view.

Video Production in the Field
This hands-on course in video production for institutions will prepare you to go into the field and produce great storytelling video projects. Participants will set up a field interview, shoot it, and take the footage into Final Cut Pro for editing. This workshop will cover DSLR as well as traditional video production.

    Want to view the ‘best of the best' when it comes to educational marketing videos? Join us as we explore some of the most compelling and creative fundraising, admissions, alumni, and school update videos from the past couple of years.

Now that you've created videos and multimedia projects, where do you put them to ensure that people see them? We'll talk about plans and strategies for getting the most eyes on your projects.
