Leadership in Development Management 2012
Nov. 10 - 16, 2012
Venue TBC
Washington, D.C./Baltimore, Md., United States
This is the fifth year of this exceptional programme. Facilitated by Jon Walker, director of external affairs at Loughborough University and Mary Blair, former director of development, London School of Economics, it offers helpful insights, analysis, clarity and discussion for development team leaders.
This week-long programme is ideal for those in charge of the development office in institutions participating in the Matched Funding Scheme for Voluntary Giving 2008-11. Even though the Matched Funding Scheme officially ended in June 2012, we still have funding for 24 additional scholarships available to institutions in England.
Participants will arrive on 10 November in Baltimore, Maryland, and the tour will culminate in Washington, D.C., on 16 November. We will be visiting a number of institutions with varying scales of development offices to showcase the possible to the aspirational. The tour will bring best practice from these institutions to help your institution grow and for you to develop within your role. The tour will be followed by a debriefing day on 18 January 2013 in London, UK.
The benefits of attending include:
The cost of the conference is £3,000. Successful applicants who receive a scholarship will therefore only pay the discounted rate of £1,200.
The deadline for scholarship applications is Friday 14 September 2012 with notification of the outcome by 21 September 2012.
