Becki McKinlay, Deputy Director, Annual Giving, University of Reading
McKinlay joined the University of Reading in 2007 with the challenge of developing the already successful Annual Fund. In 2009, McKinlay broadened the annual giving programme with a target of raising £500,000 per annum from annual giving activities. Alongside the implementation of the annual giving strategy, McKinlay provides the bridge between annual giving and major gifts, with a portfolio of prospective donors from whom she has solicited four and five-figure gifts towards the Fund and other development projects. McKinlay is also acting-up as deputy director (maternity cover), supporting the director of development and alumni relations and overseeing alumni relations activities.

Gethin joined the University of Surrey as director of development in January 2010 having previously been the director of development and alumni relations at City University London between March 2005 and January 2010. Prior to joining City University Gethin had spend 14 years in fundraising roles within a variety of UK non profit organisations including a UK development charity, an international campaigning and capacity building NGO, a UK Charitable Trust, a grassroots community group and a large UK national charity.
