Higher Ground:The future of social and digital media in HE
May 14, 2010
DeVere Venues Canary Wharf
London, United Kingdom
The tipping point has passed and almost everyone in higher education now knows that the social and digital media revolution is here to stay. As the dust settles around the Web 2.0 movement, big questions are being asked about strategy, resource, best practice and integration of new tools for engagement by professionals across the sector.
Higher Ground is an event designed to bring together sector leaders and non-sector specialists working across the social and digital media landscape. Discussion will cover channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and iTunes U in the context of recruitment and enquiry, marketing, events, communication and relationship management in HE.
Through a series of seminars, breakout sessions and a panel debate this full day event is for anyone working towards a strategy that will include a selection of social and digital media tools as part of its mix. With one eye on consolidation within your institution, this event will tackle what might be round the corner and how what we already know might throw light on what comes next.
The main event will be followed by a social ‘tweetup' and discussion will take place on Twitter using #casehigherground tag in the run up and during the event.
