Robert Dufton

Robert Dufton is Director, Paul Hamlyn Foundation. Previously he was Director of The Rayne Foundation, Deputy Director of Operations at the Heritage Lottery Fund, and Programme Director at Arts & Business. He is a Governor of the Museum of London, and is a member of the Committee of Convocation of the University of Bristol, and was until recently a member of its Council.

He studied law at university and qualified and worked as a corporate finance solicitor. He has a Diploma in General Management from Cass Business School, City University

Keynote speaker: June Bradham, President, Corporate DevelopMint

June Bradham is founder, owner, and President of Corporate DevelopMint, a fundraising and strategic planning consulting firm with over 20 years serving the non-profit world. After beginning her fundraising career at Hilton Head Hospital, June founded Corporate DevelopMint which has grown from a one-person operation to a major presence in fundraising consulting that now counsels clients from coast to coast. It is June's personal commitment to constant innovation and uncompromised quality that has led Corporate DevelopMint forward, year after year.

June and her team have led scores of fundraising campaigns that are diverse in their scope and purpose. From a $100 million hospital system campaign to a $1 billion comprehensive university campaign, Corporate DevelopMint consultants have counseled hundreds of non-profits on embracing strategies that solidify their organizations and prepare them for a future beyond campaign.

 

Sir Peter Davis, Vice-President, Bangor University, chair, Marie Curie Cancer

Sir Peter Davis is Vice-President of Bangor University and has been Chief Executive of three major FTSE companies. Reed International/Reed Elsevier 1986-1994; Prudential 1995-2000; and J Sainsbury PLC 2000-2004. Until he retired in April 2007, he was a main board director of UBS AG of Zurich, Europe's largest bank by assets, which he joined in 2001.

Sir Peter has also been a non-executive director of Boots, Cadbury Schweppes, Granada, BSB and other companies. He is currently Chair of Marie Curie Cancer, and was Chair of Business in the Community from 1996- 2001. He has a keen interest in Education and Training; he was Chair of the Basic Skills Agency (1989-1997) and of the National Advisory Council for Education and Training Targets (1993-1997). He also chaired the Royal Opera House Foundation and the Welfare to Work New Deal Task Force from 1997-2000.

Sir Peter has longstanding links with Anglesey, and has been a member of the Advisory Board of the University's Business School for several years.
