Jason Coolman, Director, Alumni Relations, University of Waterloo, Canada
Jason developed a passion for post-secondary education during his undergrad years at Brock University, receiving the Student Union Graduate Award for his commitment to student life, a dedication that's become a hallmark of his career.
After working as Residence Manager at the University of Guelph, and as MPP Liaison for the Minister of Citizenship, Culture and Recreation, he joined the University of Waterloo as Residence Life Coordinator. As UW embarked on a $260 million campaign, Jason joined the Office of Development, where he supported the university's Annual Fund, special projects and major gift solicitation. In 2005, Jason assumed his current role where he continues to promote student engagement. In 2007, he facilitated a UW Alumni Council Ad Hoc committee on alumni engagement.
Peter Haigh, Principal Consultant, Hamilton Haigh Associates
Peter is a performance improvement consultant based in London. He established Hamilton Haigh Associates in 2009 following a 30 year career in sales and marketing in the hotel industry. He has worked at corporate, regional and property level for companies such as Marriott, Le Meridien, Accor, The Ritz and The Savoy Group.
Peter has been a member of MPI for 16 years and has chaired the UK Chapter and The European Council. He became the first Certified ROI Practitioner in the European meetings and events industry in 2006 and has conducted extensive research on event evaluation practices in the UK. He regularly offers ROI Workshops, training courses and consulting services in the UK and abroad.
Perry Hewitt, Digital Communications and Communications Services, Harvard University
Perry works in digital marketing communications, with deep experience in corporate and not-for-profit industry. Her background includes both established business and marketing strategy, and expertise in web innovation and management. Perry is charged with Harvard University's efforts to develop a comprehensive digital presence across the internet, as well as to establish best practices for content, multimedia, and technology.
Perry has been a frequent writer and speaker on topics including the social web; content strategy; user experience; mobile integration; and online communities and networks. She has been quoted extensively on business and technology issues in the press including CNBC, Mashable, the Pew Internet Project, and the Chronicle of Higher Education. She has also for more than 10 years served as judge for the Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange (MITX) Awards. Perry holds an A.B. from Harvard University in Russian and Soviet Studies. She has lived and worked in Switzerland, Russia, the United Kingdom, and Australia, and now lives with her family in the greater Boston area.
