This half-day professional and personal development workshop is designed for advancement professionals from all backgrounds. The packed programme will enable you to be truly effective in Higher Education by learning to navigate the politics, ascertaining where the power is and finding ways to influence and persuade stakeholders.  You'll also leave this seminar with tools that will help you moderate your behaviour positively so you can communicate clearly and confidently with people from all backgrounds and vantage points.

Led by Tricia King, pro-vice-master for student experience and director of external relations, and voice and communications coach Caroline Goyder, the seminar will cover:

  • Managing the internal politics
  • Mastering the art of persuasion
  • Practical strategies for dealing with difficult situations
  • Effective personal communications
  • Practical physical, psychological and vocal tools to enhance your inter-relationship skills
