Tour Departures
Pickup times and meeting locations will be detailed in your tour confirmation. Please plan to arrive at your tour meeting location 15 minutes prior to your tour departure.

Tour Cancellation Policy
Guests must request refunds for cancellations before Tuesday, May 17, 2011. All cancellations must be made in writing. After Tuesday, May 17, 2011, there will be no refunds for guest cancellations.

Each tour must have a minimum number of participants to operate. District Experience reserves the right to cancel any tour that does not meet the minimum registration requirements by Tuesday, May 17, 2011. Should a tour be cancelled for this reason, guests will not be charged for the cancelled tour.

Credit card numbers will be held to reserve tour, but will not be charged until the tour reaches the required minimum to participate.

Make the most of your time in Chicago with your CFR colleagues! CASE is organizing informal networking opportunities for conference participants. Outings such as dinners, museum visits and sporting events will be available for attendees to sign up for on site at the conference.

Fees may be required depending on the activity.

Chicago SkylineOn this all-encompassing tour of downtown Chicago, guests will see the exciting major sites that lend character and energy to the Windy City! In the place where it all began in the 1880s, guests will learn how modern styles evolved and produced the ever-increasing panorama of bewildering structures, and experience first-hand why multitudes acclaim Chicago as "an outdoor museum of architecture." Learn why Chicago's motto, "City in a Garden," is much more than a catchy slogan! See major parks and gardens that border Lake Michigan, including Grant Park and the impressive Millennium Park! Motorcoach will make stops along the way for guests to get off coach and explore select sites.

River CruiseThe best way to really see the city's profile is on architectural cruise along the Chicago River and Lake Michigan. Learn how in the 19th Century, the modern city grew from a trading post to become the world's fastest growing metropolis. View an extraordinary array of great structures, including Lake Point Tower, Wrigley Building, IBM Building, NBC Tower, Tribune Tower, Civic Opera House, Sears Tower, Marina City, Board of Trade, and scores more! A live narration by an architectural docent will cover the history and styles of Chicago's buildings, without the omission of the juicier details-scandal, corruption, conflict-all the material that makes for great entertainment.
Marriott Chicago is 1.5 blocks from the river cruise dock. Guests will walk with a Tour Escort to and from the dock. *Stairs are required to access boat dock.

Guided Tour of the Art Institute
Itinerary: Thursday - 6:30pm - 8:00pm

Art  Institute of ChicagoGuests will visit the world-famous Art Institute of Chicago, where acclaimed masterpieces await discovery. Justly renowned for its medieval masterpieces and French Impressionists, the Museum boasts treasures in every room. Housed here are such treasures as Seurat's Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, El Greco's Assumption of the Virgin, Grant Wood's American Gothic, and a stunning collection of renowned French Impressionist works.

Guests will enjoy an exclusive one-hour escorted tour of this great institution that includes these highlights, as well as Adler and Sullivan's exquisite Trading Room and the magnificent America stained-glass windows by Marc Chagall. The guide will take requests from the group and include works of art of particular interest to the group. Following the one-hour guided portion of the tour, guests will have time to explore the museum on their own, giving them the opportunity to experience the exciting Modern Wing!
*Art Institute closes at 8:00pm on Thursdays.

Guests will meet Tour Guide AT main entrance to Art Institute of Chicago, 111 South Michigan Ave.
Guests are responsible for their own transportation to/from Art Institute. Guests must arrive at the Art Institute at 6:30pm. The Tour will begin promptly at 6:45pm. District Experience is not responsible for guests who are tardy.
