"Being able to embrace an institution and convey their message through various channels to help them implement their vision on a day-to-day basis pushed me in ways only the graduate scheme could. The foundation it provided has been invaluable for my learning and career development in this sector since the programme."
Graduate Trainee, Class of 2010
"Whilst on my secondment, I was tasked to create the first Thank You magazine for donors. This was a great opportunity to apply new skills learnt and it was fantastic to be trusted to do it. I created a 12-page donor booklet thanking donors and talking about the impact of the gifts to the school."
Eleanor Sansom, Class of 2011, Annual Fund Manager, London Business School
"My year as CASE Graduate Trainee gave me the opportunity to acquire skills in research, communications, marketing, events, data, finance and fundraising. The year has given me confidence and a foundation of knowledge that I refer to every day in my role as a face-to-face fundraiser."

"With the training programme's focus on all aspects of HE fundraising our intern greatly appreciates the importance of a holistic approach to building the donor journey and strengthening the pipeline to high level alumni giving. Through the scheme our intern had the opportunity to realise her greatest strengths, and we help her to enhance these skills. Just 14 months after starting the scheme our intern is now in a challenging new face‐to‐face fundraising role, working closely with senior volunteers and building relationships with successful alumni to generate 5 figure unrestricted gifts."
Alison Thompson, Head of High Value University Giving, King's College London
"Rob has provided excellent support to the Faculty of Physical and Applied Sciences, particularly in the area of alumni engagement. He played a key role in the planning and organization of a major alumni reception held in London, attended major Faculty events, including careers fairs and graduations, helped ensure that current students are aware of the opportunities they will have as alumni. He is also fully supporting new initiatives, such as our mentoring programme which will be delivered by alumni, and has made many valuable contacts with alumni which we believe will be of great benefit in the future. He has gained a very valuable knowledge of the Faculty, its key members, its important relationship with the technical business community, and its aspirations for the future."
Joyce Lewis, Senior Fellow for Business Development, Faculty of Physical and Applied Sciences
"At Loughborough, we have benefited from having three CASE Europe trainees who have gone from strength to strength, played active roles in nurturing financial and other support for the work of the university. Developing specialist higher education fundraisers and providing a professional career pathway for these individuals is vital to ensure the continued growth of the role of philanthropy across the sector."
Professor Shirley Pearce, Vice- Chancellor of Loughborough University
