That's what the planning committee and I intend to deliver at the 41st Annual CASE-NAIS Independent Schools Conference in Chicago. In the spirit of innovation, this year's conference introduces a number of exciting elements:
Music to our ears. The opening session offers a fresh teaching method to convey the importance of leadership and teamwork as conductor Roger Nierenberg orchestrates valuable lessons for our institutions.
Two new tracks. One focuses exclusively on an area paramount to our success: Stewardship. Two previous tracks (Uncharted Territory and Advancement Leadership) have been combined to create Strategic Vision.
Expanded roundtables. Topical roundtables will now include focused mini-presentations followed by Q&A to engage participants in a more robust discussion.
Newcomer opportunities. Newcomers will be matched with mentors in a more effective one-on-one framework and a two-part preconference forum offers guidance for newcomers to advancement.
Community engagement. CASE-NAIS gives back to Chicago through two community engagement projects. It is an opportunity for us, as independent schools, to be a part of rather than apart from, our communities and model that behavior at our conference.
Many of these changes were designed to increase the value of this year's conference. I hope you will join me, the planning committee members and a roster of creative, forward-thinking speakers at this dynamic event.
See you in Chicago!
