Kevin J. Heaney
Vice President, Constituent and Central Development Programs and Deputy Campaign Director
Oregon State University Foundation

Kevin Heaney is the vice president for constituent development programs and associate campaign director at the Oregon State University Foundation. He oversees the constituent-based development programs for the Colleges of Agricultural Sciences, Business, Education, Engineering, Forestry, Health and Human Sciences, Liberal Arts, Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences, Pharmacy, Science, and Veterinary Medicine, as well as the Linus Pauling Institute and the Oregon 4-H Leadership Development Program. In addition, he is part of the leadership team for OSU's first comprehensive campaign, "The Campaign for OSU: This Amazing Place, This Historic Moment."

Prior to joining the OSU Foundation, Heaney served in a variety of major gift and planned giving capacities at Georgetown University ("The Third Century Campaign"), Johns Hopkins University ("The Johns Hopkins Campaign: Knowledge for the World") and Harvard University ("The University Campaign").

He has a bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati, a master's degree from Columbia University, and a juris doctorate from Boston College Law School.

Amy Carrier
Director of Research & Prospect Development, Office of Advancement
Georgetown University

Amy Carrier is the director of research and prospect development at Georgetown University. She has been at Georgetown for over six years, serving as research analyst and as associate director of prospect management before moving into her current role. She currently oversees a team of research and data analysts, and is responsible for the development of new reporting systems and data analysis methodologies.

Before coming to Georgetown, Carrier was the manager of the Alliance for Regional Stewardship, a network of civic entrepreneurs working to address the issues facing today's regions. She has spoken at the Conference of Jesuit Advancement Administrators and at conferences for the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, and the American Planning Association. She has presented on best practices in prospect management, fundraiser performance metrics, campaign reporting, and data mining and modeling.

Carrier has studied at Trinity University, Weston Jesuit School of Theology, Texas A&M University, Georgetown University and the University of Colorado Denver, and taught statistics at the University of Colorado Denver's Graduate School of Public Affairs.



Thomas Chaves

Thomas Chaves
Assistant Vice President of Advancement Services
Lehigh University

Thomas Chaves is the assistant vice president of advancement services at Lehigh University where he is building and leading a dynamic information management environment to support Lehigh's advancement operations. Managing a centralized team in a decentralized environment, Chaves strives to effectively and efficiently use technology, process and people to bring valuable information to Lehigh's advancement team.

Before coming to Lehigh, he spent more than 17 years at SunGard/SCT working with more than 100 Banner clients to implement and effectively use Banner Advancement. He also served as the director of annual giving at Albright College and finished a nine-year tenure on Albright College's Alumni Association board, serving as president the last two years.

Chaves chaired the 2010 CASE Conference for Senior Advancement Services Professionals, is a board member of the Association of Advancement Services Professionals and is a member of the Banner Advancement advisory board.

He holds a bachelor's degree from Albright College and a master's degree from Penn State University.


Mark Koenig
Senior Director for Advancement Services
Oregon State University Foundation

Mark Koenig is the senior director for advancement services for the Oregon State University Foundation, a private nonprofit corporation affiliated with the university. Oregon State University is in the midst of a $850 million dollar campaign, "The Campaign for OSU." In this role, Koenig oversees the research, relationship management, information technology services and database management units.

He has served twelve years in higher education fundraising with emphasis and experience in operating and managing development research, relationship management and discovery programs. Prior to joining Oregon State, he was the director of prospect research and management for The George Washington University. He has also held research positions at Georgetown University and Rice University.

Koenig earned his bachelor's degree in history and economics from the University of Houston. He is currently the sponsorship/exhibitor chair for the 2012 CASE District VIII Conference to be held in Seattle, Wash.; and is the president of the Timberhill Racquet Club in Corvallis. He has previously served as an officer for West University Masonic Lodge #1283 in Houston, Texas, and was a founding trustee for Hope for Children, U.S., a private foundation that supports children orphaned by AIDS in Ethiopia. He has also lent his support and services to The Boys and Girls Club of Corvallis and the United States Tennis Association.
