Head of Alumni Engagement
University of York

Nik Miller is Head of Alumni Engagement at the University of York and a founding partner of The Bridge Group, an independent policy association based in Westminster. He previously worked in the USA, at the University of Warwick, and has undertaken advisory roles for Government.

Miller has designed and implemented engagement programmes around the world, working with leading universities, schools and corporate firms - including Google, Shell and Goldman Sachs. He was elected inaugural Chair of the 94 Group Alumni Relations Forum, and has successfully raised more than £1.3m from charities, corporate firms, and major philanthropists, specifically to support universities' activities in this area.

Regularly employed as a consultant (recent clients include Cass Business School, Birkbeck University of London, the European Commission, More Partnership, and the Higher Education Academy), Miller is currently studying as a full scholarship recipient at the Cranfield School of Management and completed his MBA (University of London) with distinction in 2009.


Kelly Cleary

Kelly Cleary

Kelly Cleary has led the Career Services unit for students in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania's centralized career center since 2007. Prior to joining Penn Career Services, she was director of Career Services at Stetson University, a small liberal arts college in Florida. She has also worked as a trainer for the U.S. State Department's Irish Peace Process Cultural and Training Program in Belfast, Northern Ireland and Washington, D.C.; a career counselor at the University of Iowa; an advisor for student-athletes at George Washington University; and as a teacher at Marymount International School in Rome, Italy. Working closely with alumni and alumni relations and development professionals has been an integral part of her role in each of her university positions. She has a B.A. in English from Wake Forest University, an M.A. in Community Counseling from George Washington University, and is currently enrolled in the Ed.D. in Higher Education program at Penn, working on a dissertation about the long term influence of interning abroad on career development.
