CFR: Nuts and Bolts and Everything In Between
Nov. 10, 2011
Online
2 - 3:30 p.m. Eastern
As CFR professionals, we engage with a donor community whose appetite for complex content and multidisciplinary solutions require that we build strong ties with faculty, campus leadership and fundraising colleagues across our institution. However, a number of assumptions are often applied to CFR that don't entirely fit: e.g., that our work is identical to that of individual donor fundraising; that our donors' comparatively ample resources are simple and easy to secure; and that we function best in a "silo" of our own.
This seminar will provide an in-depth overview of CFR work, outline how professionals new to CFR and/or their institutions can forge long-term partnerships with C&F funders, and suggest ways to build strategic internal collaborations that increase your effectiveness and embed the CFR contribution into your institution's overall advancement community.
Review best practices for securing support from corporations and foundations, learn how to bring the most resonant priorities to their attention, and find out how to leverage the complexities of CFR work to your institution's advantage.
