Successfully cultivating alumni relationships depends on the same marketing principles that top businesses use to develop strong relationships with their customers: listening to their audience, developing customer-centric strategies, integrated marketing and more.

This presentation highlights six winning principles employed in the private sector that are being adopted by forward-focused annual giving directors. A highlight of the session is a presentation of findings from the "Mood of Alumni" survey conducted by Engagement Strategies Group, with implications for engaging alumni of all ages.
