We've all heard the typical donor complaint that we spend more money thanking them for their gift and asking them for their next, than we end up spending on the programs themselves! With rising donor concerns and the economic forecast continuing to sag, it remains critical for businesses to continually strive to cut costs. This couldn't be more crucial than in the nonprofit work we perform on a daily basis. Understanding the benefits of working with the postal service to receive the maximum discounts available on your nonprofit mailings is one way you can be an effective steward of your organization's funds. Lynne Becker consults and collaborates with organizations as well as individuals providing comprehensive services for fundraising specializing in change management and organizational behavior issues. Her clients have included colleges and universities across North America, foundations affiliated with medical enterprises, and nonprofits such as the American Red Cross, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Arthritis Foundation, YWCA and Girl Scouts of America.
She has held the following positions: Senior counsel with Advancement Solutions; vice president and general manager of the health and social services sector at Kintera; member of the consulting firm of Bentz Whaley Flessner; and assistant vice president for advancement services at the University of Washington.
Becker is a founding member and first Board Officer/Secretary of the National Association of College and University Mail Services (NACUMS). She is a recipient of the CASE Crystal Apple Award for excellence in teaching.
