Lehigh University moved from a centralized information access request model to a desktop reporting environment by partnering with advancement users in the annual fund, leadership gifts, research, alumni relations, planned giving and stewardship departments. This webinar takes a look at the steps Lehigh took to move to this model, the lessons learned and the effectiveness and efficiencies gained.

Thomas Chaves is currently the assistant vice president of advancement services and the assistant campaign director at Lehigh University, where he is building and leading a dynamic information management environment to support Lehigh's advancement operations. Managing a centralized team in a decentralized environment, Chaves strives to effectively and efficiently use technology, process and people to bring valuable information to Lehigh's advancement team. Responsible for information processing, reporting and analytics, prospect research and management, and events management, he brings direction and guidance to major operational support for the advancement organization.

Chaves spent more than 17 years at SunGard Higher Education working with more than 100 Banner clients implement and effectively use of Banner Advancement. He recently chaired the 2012 Summer Institute for Advancement Services and the 2010 CASE Senior Advancement Services conference, is a board member of AASP (Association of Advancement Services Professionals). He finished a nine-year tenure on Albright College's Alumni Association board where he was president the last two years.
