New Parents and the Annual Fund
Feb. 3, 2011
Online
2 - 3:30 p.m. Eastern
Increasing parent participation in the annual fund is a universal goal for all educational institutions. This seminar will explore a method that is being used by an independent school experiencing a dramatic increase in new parent participation, both in numbers of donors and in early response rates to the annual fund appeal.
New parents at independent schools are eager for information to help them navigate and feel connected early in their tenure and these sessions, which are fun, directed and short, are a great opportunity for early engagement. New parent orientation and its impact on giving is clear: new parents who received orientation gave at a participation rate 30 to 42 percent greater than new parents who did not receive orientation.
Participants will "attend" a mock new parent session and receive a sample PowerPoint presentation they can modify to suit their own needs. Additional promotional materials and an easy-to-follow timeline for the event and surrounding communications will be shared.
