Message From Conference Chair Susan Kubik

Never has the spotlight shone brighter on community colleges than it does today.

With this much-deserved attention comes not only new pressure, but also opportunity. Coping with and capitalizing on this whirlwind change requires just what our institutions are known for: innovation, responsiveness, agility, and quality education that meets local needs. The changing times also demand more creativity, strategic thinking, and sage counsel from those of us in communications, development, marketing, alumni relations, and grants than we may have previously been asked to provide.

Join us for the inaugural Conference for Community College Advancement. For the first time on a national scale, CASE will gather all of the professions related to advancement, and shine that spotlight intensely on the unique needs of community colleges. Together we will help to shape the future of our institutions.

Having devoted my career to community college advancement, my goal, and the goal of the talented conference committee we have assembled, is to help you usher in a new era of support not just for community colleges, but for people like you who make community colleges possible.

You do heroic work-work that deserves support and celebration. You will get that and more in San Diego.
