Best Practice "Far Above...The Campaign for Cornell" was publicly launched on October 26, 2006, at a news conference in New York City. In addition to the media, the audience consisted of university stakeholders, local alumni leadership, and key state and city officials, including Mayor Michael Bloomberg. An Ithaca campus celebration took place the next day, Friday, October 27, and a staff celebration was held on Monday, October 30.
