About CASE
Diversifying the Profession

CASE is committed to growing the diversity of the advancement profession and helping colleges, universities and independent schools strengthen relationships with an increasingly diverse alumni population.

Successful advancement offices will employ individuals who can tap the resources of their diverse alumni, who expect approaches and programming to mirror their culture and values.

The challenge? While there has been a rapid increase in the diversity of students and alumni, the advancement profession has not mirrored that growth.

Key facts:

  • Thirty-six percent of students enrolled at U.S. colleges and universities are students of color.
  • The spending power of diverse populations is more than $1.3 trillion.
  • Enhancing diversity within an organization is a strategic imperative.

CASE has launched a number of initiatives to help diversify the profession, including its annual Minority Advancement Institute Conference and the Jupiter Fellowship Program. CASE also continues to explore opportunities for additional training and development as well as educating members and others about the value of diversity.
